My family had season tickets for 5 years. I've been to over 100 games.

You're an idiot.

Unless you have a family of 15,000, that's not saying much.

I've been a Rams fan since 2003. They didn't have one. single. winning. season. the entire time i've been a fan.

But i stuck through it, because again i'm one of the few football fans in an area where most people are cardinals/blues fans. I lived through the Bulger/SJ39 years. The Bradford years (last 4-5 years) where he got a new OC/HC every fricken year or tears his ACL.

Through the 0-3 win years.

Through Jeff Fisher's persistent mediocrity.

And what do I get out of it? Littlefinger dumps the town first chance he gets when we refuse to shell out $400m of public taxpayer funding.

You want a final summary of the 2015 Rams?

2015 St. Louis Rams:
-No QB
-No WRs
-No TEs
-Poor OL
-Run first offense that loses to pretty much any team that stacks the box.
-Front office that refuses to change the above despite it being the same exact problem since the greater show on turf era.
-Thug HC/DC that encourage injuring opposing teams as a means to get an advantage.
-No winning season for over half my life and the entire existence as a fan of the team

What is there to like about the team?: Todd Gurley, DL, Johnny Hekker.
A kicker, a DL we only established a few years ago, and a RB we got this year.

So why did i leave? Because this team only brings you pain: The owner spat in our faces, we had to endure 2-3 YEARS of wondering if our team would leave (they did), the team sucks and is largely unlikable, and despite ALL of that and sticking with the team through EVERYTHING, i get rewarded with losing my team.

That is why I am no longer a Rams fan.

looks like 3 more reasons than I have to be a Browns fan and I'm sticking it out...

while replying, I did consider how much "easier" it was in '95 bc we already knew we were getting another franchise and that the browns name/history would stay in cleveland...

but yeah, no. lol

it's like being a browns fan if you didnt have a new browns team coming in and the old one moved to, well, LA

and the now closest NFL team was 5 hours away

But he's Goodell, so yeah, it's money.
Goodell is an employee, hired to literally do 2 things:

1. Make the owners money (90%, although that may be a low estimate)
2. Be the "face" of the company, dealing with all the crap the owners don't want to be bothered with (CBA cancellations/lockouts/renegotiations, player discipline, unpopular rules changes, etc, etc.) (10%)

Not sure why everyone is surprised when he does his job.

St. Louis planning a lawsuit against Stan Kroenke

Quote:
Her office is in the early stages of drafting legislation. Staffers said the goal is to make sure communities are treated fairly if a sports team that benefits from public funds — such as playing in a publicly financed stadium — decides to move to another community.

also publicly funded stadiums are generally bad for the state so wouldn't you think the fans would want the team playing in another state?
I'm a Chargers fan in limbo living in SD, I don't go to games for multiple reasons (comfort and I just like it better on tv). I doubt I'll continue to be a fan after this season, unless by some miracle Dean Spanos sells the team and a new regime is brought in.

Spanos is a ****ing loser. It all starts with him and trickles down. He made his decision to leave SD because he was seeing $$$ signs and a handout from the NFL, now he wants to come crawling back to SD and work something out because he ****ing LOST as usual. He has no love for the city of SD, so f*** him. Make him go be Kroenke's bitch in LA, force him into a bad situation he doesn't like, and maybe he'll sell the team.

He could’ve had a brand new stadium done a long time ago, but he’s a cheap bastard that a) can’t afford it or b) won’t bring in investors, he’d rather have taxpayers and the city of SD stuff his pockets.

Here’s what I’d like to see happen, an aggressive new owner takes over with a state-of-the-art privately funded stadium in SD, Rivers retires, new owner cleans house and reverses the losing culture.

Until then why should I stick around and emotionally invest in a team and an owner that’s gonna pickup and move because a) doesn’t want to be here or b) doesn’t want to build a new stadium without somebody else paying for it? Trots out a **** product that has proven to have a ceiling of making the playoffs? Everyone in SD is tired of seeing ****ing Philip Rivers play! It’s the same **** every single year for idk the past 8 years! He’s proven to find a way to lose, and they’re content with being above average.

If this has taught me anything, it’s that I’d rather be detached from any team, and operate with supreme “I do what I want” because that’s exactly what they do. So **** it. I don’t need a team to enjoy watching sports.

lol, sure I don't mind. It's better than the dumpster fire we call O.co and as a consequent the A's might get a new stadium as well.

On a side note, I don't see how you (Mark) don't want to push to stay in the 5th biggest market in the US by yourself, but is willing to split revenue with a team in LA. Sure I understand LA is a huge market, and the Raiders have a large following on So-Cal, but you're competing with too many teams there imo.

yah, like i said earlier i think i'd feel worse if we had to be in limbo for yet another year. At least we know our team is gone

Rams have changed their Twitter handle. Officially now @RamsNFL

Smart move by the Rams. Avoids any messy renames in the future.

3 teams in LA next all in one division for one season only.

Whoever runs last has to move to London.
