Not sure that matters. All that matters is a team there and NFL games becoming a thing to do. The major media outlets have large hubs there. They can create the hype. The population is huge and it would be an outdoor venue for washed up rock n roll bands to play for 75k people at a minimum of $150 a head.

St. Louis letting LA pay for a new stadium and then continuing to cheer for the team for free would be the pro move.

The Chargers are going to be second class citizens in LA sharing with the Rams who I think will quickly rediscover their LA fan base while The Raiders somehow get taken care of in Oakland with something shiny and new and tarps still covering thousands of unsold seats. Forget San Antonio. Can't see Jerry allowing another team in Texas.

Maybe I only feel this way because I don't cheer for my local teams but I don't see why fans care all that much about where the team plays its 8 home games. 7 if LOLondon. The vast majority of fans watch every game on the TV and don't go to the stadium anyway.

The only somewhat acceptable explanation is that you cheer for your local team for city pride or think the team represents the city or whatever but this all falls apart when fans of local team A hate and actively root against local team B (Yankees and Mets, Sox and Cubs, etc.)

Again though, every team has been a lock to leave this last year at various points so who knows

I'm a Rams fan too...but I live in Los Angeles, so our interests are not exactly aligned.

I along with a few others are Raider fans. I no longer live in LA though so I really don't care where they end up (except San Antonio).

I grew up a Rams fan but disowned them when they moved to St Loius. **** that organization.

Radio people seem to be thinking it's sounding more and more like Rams and Chargers are going and Oakland is staying.

I guess with all involved already being in the west there's no need to any division realignment?

Probably not, but the dreamer in me wishes they would take this opportunity to do away with the stupid ****ing divisions altogether and just playoff the 6 best teams from each conference similar to how the NBA does it.

I saw talk that the Rams might move to the AFC West with the Chargers moving to the NFC West. Or maybe I made that up and it was just some random person who told me that. It would be kind of nice to have an in-state rivalry between Chefs and Rams. I'm not really sure why they would feel the need to do that though.

I thought the Chargers owner said there was no chance he would work with Kronke?

As I don't live anywhere near St. Louis im not sure how I feel about this. The fact this can actually happen blows my mind anyway coming from a totally different sporting background to those of franchises in the states. I'll still be a Rams fan whether they move or not. Personally I hope they stay in St. Louis and someone get Jeff Fisher out instead.

It just occurred to me that the Rams are almost certainly moving so this was probably the dumbest post made today

Yes, listen to the foreign-owned company that advertises MURICA more than any other about loyalty.

I can't imagine the Chargers leaving the AFC W. That division is as locked in as the NFC East. All four teams are original AFL teams that have hated each other for 50+ years.

If the Chargers and Raiders being in the same division kills the possibility of them sharing a stadium then I think their deal is dead. I don't see why they can't share it despite being in the same division though.

First round of votes completed. Rams/TBD in Inglewood gets more votes than Raiders/Chargers in Carson. Nobody at required 24 yet.

First round of votes was 20-12 in favor of Rams/TBD in Inglewood – short of the required 24. LA committee now meeting with Spanos and Davis.

Roger Goddell is discussing a new proposal with the owners. Vote coming very soon.

That last one is ???? Goddell just trying to do what he wants. Seems rigged. No surprise.

It really does seem like a good time to shift everything around though. Colts in the south with Hou/Jax/Ten is silly. Put miami there, indy in the north, and baltimore in the east.

I wonder what ROG wants to do. Ive been assuming he wants two team in LA. Only 4 votes off already makes me think this is gonna happen today.

It's pretty much a done deal. Rams/Chargers to Inglewood. Raiders get a compensation package to stay in Oakland and build a stadium there.
