Also Mike Bossy and Pat Lafontiane both played less than 900 games apiecealltime as their HOF careers were cut short by injury, but its worth noting there's only about twenty healthy seasons between the two

Some of these stories are so sick. I can't imagine what it must be like to go from thinking your a virtual lock for the NBA lottery to working at a supermarket. Anyways, the only "waste of talent" I can think of is Jay Williams, who got injured in a motorcycle accident or something. He could have been a Chris Paul equivalent.

That was over a year ago. He was already getting fat prior to that. In fact, he was critcized for being overweight in the 2006 WC. I saw highlights of him playing last week and he's about 40 lb. overweight.

... most pro atheletes don't sit on their ass for 6 months - they do what they can to stay in shape and rehab.

Considered the best striker of our era. The Association of Football Statisticians consider him to be second best player of all time (behind Pele). He hasn't wasted anything (Pele will never be surpassed).

Fantastic job of reading, Reo. I stated that he is currently wasting whatever he has left.

I realize that Oski. However, he hasn't wasted anything because nothing else is there for him to achieve. He had already reached his peak.

From what I've been led to believe he was an amazing ball striker who either didn't care or didn't have what it takes to be even an average short game player.

EDIT: OK I looked into a bit more and Miller had his caddy get yardages down to the half yard, that's how accurate his ball striking was. However, he had a jabby putting stroke and it was said his putting was probably only on par with 10-12 handicap golfer. Also he was a family man and didn't really like tour life, which may have contributed to him burning out earlier.

I'll start first w/ Michael Vick and for obvious reasons

What do you guys think
Don't agree. Vick is a great athlete, but not a pro type quarterback. Don't think any team would win the SuperBowl with Vick as quarterback.
If the pros played the spread offense then Vick would be scary.
