TBH I'd be surprised if they went 2-4 in those six games. I can't see them winning any of the road games (admittedly Iowa is their best shot but I don't think it will happen as of now) and they aren't going to beat Bucky, looks like scUM is their most winnable game

CMU beat lolsparty 2 years ago as well iirc. It was a good and just day.

Columbus isn't as tough since the Tat4 will not play.

Columbus is still a tough place to win no matter the circumstances.

Plus it's not like tOSU doesn't have capable backups to put in.

I figure Ohio State will be favorites, but it won't be by much. It will depend a lot on the first 4 games, though.

Indeed it was. And you know that CMU will be super fired up with ex-Sparty Dan Enos as the new HC. Still will be a huge underdog.

I can see why you would not understand it. I like the rivalry with ISU, I think it's healthy, but from terms of pro/con it's not in Iowa's best interest to play Cy. When Iowa wins, it's because they're supposed to. When ISU wins, it's a big deal.

I just think Iowa would be better suited to fill that spot with another BCS-level team (I'd love a shot at a different Big 12 team, say Mizzou/KSU/KU/OSU or a mid to upper level SEC/BEAST/ACC team).

I'd love to see an Iowa schedule consisting of nine BT games, a cupcake, and two mid-to-upper level BCS teams.

I always hate trying to figure out how good Iowa is going to be because it never seems like they have a ****load of returning talent to put together a good run.

This year we have several big questions marks as we lost a ****load from last year (I count 10 returning starters out of 22). There are some pretty good leaders coming back on both sides of the ball and the running game should be good. Offensively I don't think we'll be too bad, defensively I'm up in the air. A lot to replace on the DL and the secondary didn't impress last year but returns three of four starters.

I think Iowa has the schedule to go 10-2 but knowing how Iowa seemingly plays to the level of opponents 8-4/7-5 could easily be possible as well.

No reason we should have to go home and home (with a ****ty state-government mandated revenue sharing deal) with our little brother. Going 2 for 1 would be a great solution, but ISU's insistence that Iowa isn't a class above as an institution and as a football program prevents this.

A ticket to the Iowa game only costs $75, season tickets for ISU cost $99. Now that Nebraska has left and isn't getting the same raw end of the deal in opposite seasons, ISU season ticket sales will plummet the years the game is held in Iowa City. Iowa shouldn't have to pay to keep their program viable.

Oh please. We played ISU "home and home" for 100 years. Its like having 2 bye weeks except it counts for you as a win.

There is a large difference between it being because you're in the same conference and having it forced by your state legislature.

ISU really is a joke. I just laughed when I entered their "stadium".
