FSU loses, OSU wins, Auburn wins,

Auburn vs. Ohio State, what is the line?

Regarding the computer component of the Ohio State vs. Auburn debate, unnamed sources have pointed out to me that the Colley Matrix (which lets you plug in "hypothetical future results") is probably going to read 1. Auburn 2. FSU 3. tOSU after this week's games. I don't know if the other rankings have any chance of doing the same, but if they do, and Auburn is actually anything near a full point ahead of Ohio State in the computer rankings, that could get Auburn in.

My money's still on OSU though.

I added 5 games - OSU over Michigan, Auburn over Alabama, FSU over Florida, Texas A&M over Missouri, and SC over Clemson

It came out:
1) Auburn, 2) OSU, 3) FSU, 4) ASU, 5) Bama

Ran it with the Aub > USCe, OSU > MSU, FSU > Duke plus the games today.
1) Auburn, 2) OSU, 3) FSU

OSU gets help here since you toss best and worst, so Auburn loses this #1.

There are a couple other rankings that had 1. FSU 2. 'Bama 3. OSU, with Auburn top-five. Obviously if Auburn only leapfrogs Ohio State in Colley, they're still fine. If the Colley leapfrog is a sign that the same thing will happen in other ratings too, though, then we could have something interesting.

Of course Auburn has better leapfrogging chances if Missouri gets out of tonight's game with a win, since Missouri is unanimously considered a much stronger opponent than either South Carolina or Michigan State at the moment by all the BCS computer systems.

Twitter says that's what the Wynn would start it at. Seems a bit low but you know how casualfan is about S-E-C, S-E-C stuff.

I just put 5 games into Colley:
Auburn>bama
Auburn>missouri
missouri>txa&m
osu>mich
osu>msu

Came out 1AU 2OSU.

I switched the missouri/tamu game for UGA>GT and then SC>Clemson and both of those strengthened Auburn's lead.

I think computers will end up being really close.

it's not really surprising that the two teams likely to go undefeated happen to play in the two worst conferences

Who is most likely to play in the SugarBowl vs the SEC champ?

Everything I'd heard about UCF is a likely Sugar Bowl bid if they get the BCS birth. That was under the assumption SEC champ was going to the title game though, so now that it wouldn't be UCF + SEC #2 I don't know what alterations happen.

UCF to Sugar Bowl almost guaranteed unless N. Illinois loses next week. I'm not sure what happens if N. Illinois misses the BCS.

ESPN guy who is a supposed BCS expert saying Auburn will probably be #1 in most of the computers if they win the SEC and only need "some" voters to put them ahead of Ohio St.

I'm looking forward to some coaches voting Ohio St #5 or worse.

If NIU loses is there a chance that Alabama plays in the Fiesta?

I am hearing Sugar Bowl is not interested in UCF. The Orange Bowl seems more likely at this point should that be an option.

No.

I think Orange has first pick, Sugar second, and Fiesta third. Rose has their own special rules still as far as I know and will take Sparty if they can to play the PAC champ.

Bama to the Orange seems like a lock unless Auburn/Missouri gets into the BCS title game.

Who said this?

I saw on Brad Edwards' twitter feed that he thought it was unlikely that auburn jumps, fwiw, but that was before the game was played and the michigan game happened.

Okay so when tOSU loses to Michigan State and FSU plays SEC champion, Alabama stays in top 4. Automatic 3-4 rule is what put Stanford into Fiesta vs Oklahoma State. I would expect the same for Bama??
