yeah but there were massive extenuating circumstances in this case, it wasn't as absurd as it sounds

In scenario 1: AU v Bama
In scenario 2: Bama v Mizz

Would 2p2 agree?
Yep. Either scenario is chaos, and the SEC floats to the top. The LSU year that Clark is talking about was a chaos type scenario.

Well we all agree Ohio state has no business in the title game, right?

They will be like +14 against FSU

Doesn't matter what we think. Power rankings or neutral field lines don't come into it at this point.

i mean obviously this is true but voters are stupid and flying lawnmowers are guaranteed to rule the sky

OSU's win over michigan today was just sad. hoke played as good as he possibly could. should have converted that 2 pointer. ah well.

possible, depends what orange does on the at large pick before UCF/NIU get taken. Oregon? Clemson? Baylor? one of the teams that just lost a conf title game? isn't really a great pile to pick from at this point. orange may want an acc team in their bowl (idk if they care or not about that tho since if duke wins, they're stuck with them)

is there a scenario that exists where bama plays clemson for the title without either being in the conference title games? i feel like that would be maximum hyperdrive flying lawnmowers

auburn loses to USCe, tOSU loses to MSU, duke beats FSU that'd be all that's left right? maybe auburn gets in over clemson i guess?

Where are people getting this nonsense that a 1-loss SEC team will get in the title game over an undefeated Ohio State? It's not happening.

I mean, it may happen. There will be a big media push to get Auburn in over OSU and it's the last year of the current format so there's kinda no precedent implications.

I just think that voters will see:

13 - 0 Major Conference
13 - 0 Major Conference

and not worry about anything else.

Stanford/ASU winner v. FSU.

Bama v FSU

Even if USCe beats clemson and Auburn i still think it's Bama FSU

Stanford/ASU have no chance of being in the title game with 2 losses over Alabama only chance is if everyone loses and they play them somehow. (tho then it's 2 losses over one loss OSU at best)

If Auburn wins the SEC championship they will play for a national championship. This happened a couple years ago with Alabama.

If Auburn loses SEC Championship, It will be FSU vs. OSU - assuming both teams win their conference.

I don't exactly know what this means but, if you look at the BCS standings there is a point total next to each team and Auburn has 1294 and OSU has 1375 that looks to be really close. Is there any chance BAma stays ahead of OSU?

I can't wait for BCS countdown!!!!!

Didn't mean to be snippy but Ohio State is the one of the largest universities in the country (and hence has the one of the largest alumni bases) and has an historically great football program. That's not to take anything away from Auburn or say they couldn't beat Ohio State but I don't think there's going to be any huge push to put a one-loss Auburn in over an undefeated Ohio State.

Take off your SEC hat. Still so confident?

1 loss Alabama got in at the expense of an undefeated major conference team? When?
