I don't think you are appreciating the shot here. He didn't miss it or hang it. The ball bounced back toward the net, which is basically impossible to do without a lot of arc. Watch it again and pay attention to where the ball takes the second bounce, then compare it to this one:

That was one hell of a match. Screaming at the crowd to "shut the **** up" after 5-4 pt in TB was hilarious. Doubles at the end of the 1st and 3rd set cost him the match.

That's his style though, it works but on the real pressure shots (like SP,MP) he doesn't quite manage it with nearly the same consistency on BP at 30-40 or something.

Nadal really struggling with deep balls. I mean, yeah, that's basic tennis strategy to hit deep and heavy, but it just seems like he's losing 90+% of points this year where Fed plants a deep one to the body. Would be super hot if ATP joined the 21st century and made shot data available to the public.
