She didn't have enough points to qualify at the cut off point.

LOL, I was almost gonna post this about 10 minutes ago.

Also, I dropped a hefty chunk of money on Djokovic to win. So, here's not to all of the top players in the tournament being knocked out.

It would have been a wildcard request to enter the main draw, and considering the high probability it would have been refused, it's more a face-saving exercise.
