Venus is officially out. Serena, Clijsters, Sharapova are gonna be hobbling around on one foot. MDV is playing terribad. Kuznetsova just retired from her match today, don't know how bad the injury is. Stosur can't play worth a **** in Australia because OMGPRESSURE. Woz reportedly played great against Kvitova in the Hopman cup and still lost. Ivanovic is just lolbad, I'd be surprised if she got past the 3rd round in a slam this year.

Kvitova's game right now is like peak sharapova + decent volleys. Vika is the only one who can come anywhere close to her level right now, and she's 0-4 against kvitova in the last 2 years.

my all time favorite player, former top 5 Anna Chakvetadze is making a triumphant comeback this week in Hobart after collapsing on court 3x early last year. Then making a bizarro attempt to run for a seat in the Russian parlaiment in the offseason, but her party only got 1% of the vote.* She beat niculescu R1 and Pironkova R2 today.


* Marat Safin got elected tho.** His platform of free hookers and blow for every taxpayer proved to be quite popular.***
