Well here we are...
The longest playoff drought in the MLB will end today at the Rogers Centre.
You're on the clock Seattle!
In the one corner we have the Texas Rangers. A solid cast of characters led by Adrian Beltre, Shin-Soo Choo and Prince Fielder. They didn't really have a "guy" on their team that led them to the post-season but they definitely were one of the best teams in the second half that helped them get here. They did pick up Cole Hamels at the trade deadline as well...
In the other corner you have a team and a fanbase which has been desperately waiting for this moment and a country that has gone baseball crazy. The Blue Jays definitely had an interesting season. They started out very poorly and were hit with some very key injuries at the start of the season. They were 50-51 and more than 5 games back of the AL East crown but AA decided to go all in and picked up the likes of Tulowitzki, Lowe, Hawkins, Revere, Pennington and a guy by the name of David Price who is one of the favorites for the Cy Young award. The team was definitely led by MVP favorite Josh Donaldson and has the best offense in baseball.
