Probly better off with Sanchez not having protection. Just gives him more time to throw a pick 6. Taking a sack is obv the better option.

Re: AFC East 2012 Thread: Anyone but the Jets
Looking at the Jets Schedule they start vs Bills, @Steelers, @Dolphins, vs 49ers, vs Texans, vs Colts, @ Patriots.
How long does Sanchez last as starter. Good chance they start 1-4 maybe worse. Im hoping when they roll into foxboro they are 0-6 for some good loljets.

I actually agree, except I don't think Sparano is in any way qualified to design a spread option offensive scheme that will help Tebow. And they have no blocking TEs or RBs who are good at catching out of the backfield. I'm not hating on Tebow at all, but aside from short yardage and goal line packages I think Tebow is going to be a total waste on this team this year with that personnel. Jets will prob ship him to the Jags in the offseason.

“As we get into camp, more and more often Tim has been throwing to the ground,” center Nick Mangold said. “During plays, he just has this instinct for finding the ground every time. It’s becoming apparent to everyone on the team that the ground is Tim’s go-to target.”
“He just loves throwing it right to the ground,” Mangold added. “It doesn’t matter if the defense comes out in man coverage or an overload blitz. Tebow seems to know exactly where the ground will be and hits the wide-open turf every time.”

Re: AFC East 2012 Thread: Anyone but the Jets
Just figured I'd post for the first time in here. Not sure how much I'll post this season so I don't know if I can follow through on a banning.
I'll try though.
I'll try.

Your right, Its amazing how bad Wayne Hunter can dramatically turn our line into s***. Matt Slauson has been playing well, he isn't great but he's not bad. Vlad Ducasse has been a huge disappointment, he should of been ready to be on the starting line by now, Big joke. They must upgrade the RT, I was happy with the Otah deal, If healthy Otah is a beast but that's a major IF. Something has to change becuase they look horrible, but have the potential to be back at the top where we belong. I said it all along we should have went after Eric Winston to put at RT in FA. We need to make a move NOW! or we are in big trouble, Protection for Sanchez, Running game is in major jeopardy!!!
|
The OL is fine. Hunter is bad, but Sanchez should be doing a much better job of anticipating that, getting rid of it on time, and or adjusting protection appropriately. I'm not worried about the running game at all

After watching most of last season and the past 2 preseason games, I'd place the blame 50% on lolsanchize and 50% Wayne Hunter is god awful. It's the perfect storm of suckitude.
All I read was that Sparano had a different mindset and would bring max protection schemes to help Sanchize. But how will that work when you don't have a TE or RB on the roster who can block or help a horrible RT? What a mess.

I don't believe he's still "injured" and he played with 3rd stringers in the last game. He showed absolutely nothing. The writing was on the wall. Pretty easy call.

That's not amazing at all imo.
