Thought this was interesting:

Spoilation of evidence actually allows such acts to be used by the prosecution as an inference of guilt.

Now, it's not as strong as the evidence itself, but you could still be convicted for the murder charge based on other evidence + the inference based on spoilation of evidence.

And on top of that you have extra charges for spoilation of evidence.

Legit question. Let's say you're one of his boys and you all had an equal hand in it, or that hernandez had more in the situation than you did.

Do you really take the fall for it? Or what would it take for you to testify that he didn't have a hand in it.

I don't think I throw myself under the bus for anyone, but that's just me.

Is it possible that this scenario happens:

Hernandez and his buddies are meeting up with somebody for a major drug deal. They meet in a dark spot somewhere near AH's house. Turns out the guys who agreed to the meet, know AH is bringing major cash, there are no drugs. They all get out of the car, the people they agreed to meet pull guns out, threaten Lloyd if AH doesn't give them the money. They keep saying we are gonna kill him if they don't hand it over, AH and his boys try to reason with the gunman, and bang he shoots Lloyd dead. AH and his boys hightail it out of there on foot, and run back to his house. What can they do call the cops? Hernandez says we can't call the cops, lets just let the cops find the body and it will probably go unsolved. Don't worry we didnt do anything. Destroys the cell because he doesn't want to be connected for drug texts.

And in an unrelated incident, he smashed up all his home's security cameras in a fit of rage.

Cameras would prob have lots of drug footage if that scenario happened.

I have a hard time believing rising NFL star Aaron Hernandez is mob style executing people that he once considered a friend, or even hanging out afterwards with the people who did it.

No shot.

It does seem plausible that the 2 dudes killed the victim in his presence at which point he had no choice but to cooperate in the half ass cover up attempt. Even for people this stupid, it seems drugs/alcohol had to be a major factor though. Even stupid people who are gangsters, when thinking straight, could do better than this.
it is theoretically possible that he got roped into the cover up attempt after having truly nothing to do with the killing, and that he destroyed the security system not because it had evidence of that crime, but of other more minor ones he was involved in. in theory, that is not impossible. but even if he had a perfectly clean record that would still not be realistic at all

So many scumbags in professional sports and entertainment, it really is a miracle that 99.9% avoid murder-related issues. And of the 0.01% it had to be this guy.
