Not even seen him play yet (I think my only real chance has been 2016 u17 WC but don't remember watching France there) but of course it will speak volumes if he is going to play regularly which it already looks like.

I'll be interested in hearing opinions. I don't think Bartra was good at all last season, surprisingly bad actually, while Toprak, who I've previously liked quite a bit, have also struggled recently (though Leverkusen). Anyway seemed like Dan Axel actually filled in at LB last game?



Speaking of regularly, I've been working on the new installment regularly for who even knows how long (more than a year for certain) and been through every position-ranking (bigger than ever) something like twice...

Currently it's the strikers while new players (like Dan Axel), while taking the new season in are being shortlisted for the other "finished" positions which I'll the go through one more time, but hopefully not in total redo fashion like it's been following too long breaks away from the lists.

It's been a regular thing the last few months but of course a new season can be quite overwhelming.

There will be new rankings at some point. I've done far too much work to just throw it completely away.

Yes he played LB but when BVB won possession they went to 3 in the back, he immediately went out wide to a wing role albeit he was more a defensive winger than going too far up the field. As soon as BVB lost possession, he dropped into LB. Amazingly there were very few hiccups with these transitions and the kid handled it superbly. I understand his true position is CB but he looked completely comfortable on the wing/LB role.

Wasn't this updated since 14/15? Would love an updated list, particularly of defenders
