Re Ramsay - you may or may not be right on getting into other sides. However - if is in the first team at Portsmouth or whatever he simply doesn't get a look in on this list. If you open it up to him you can include a squazillion other unproven players with "potential" that haven't really done anything in the game as yet. I don't know if Alex Song is on the list but he'd be a more worthy option from the current Goon squad.

Alex Song was a player he bubbled, same with Eboue, Nasri, and Rosicky.

Secondly, Ramsey would easily start for Popmy as well as many other sides, but you have a fair point about him being overlooked if he was at one of those teams.

I hope Nasri wasn't in that bubble post cause that would be a mistake!

That award was a joke, he wasnt even the best player of the team let alone EPL.
Right now Giggs is still >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> walcott imo

Can I assume Jack Collison, Jack Rodwell, Fabian Delph and who knows how many others are left out, at a guess on the basis that they don't play for one of the Sky four? This isn't a dig at OP as this thread has got some decent debate going, I just think it is absurd to include someone like this in the list.

Its fine saying he's good enough to get into the Portsmouth side or whoever - on pure ability he may well be. However you may well find he just isn't mature enough and Paul Hart will go for a more mature pro.

I don't really want to rank potential. That would be a very different list. I do think he has shown something. Rightly or wrongly I think he has even proved something.
And that something is something so good that very few players in the world are even capable of it (which is why I make an exception in his case. There will be no one else with so few games on the list) and if it wasn't for the unfortunate coincidence that one of those type of players were at Ramsey's club already, and with that type of player, it can be hard to fit in more than one (ironically the one doing this to Ramsey, himself is a victim of this sometimes for Spain where he is still behind Xavi), then I think Ramsey would be a star already. Likely much much higher ranked too.

But hopefully he'll have become good enough in other areas so that Wenger can feel confident playing both him and Fabregas. Then we can all have a good look! Like I said in the write up, Wenger did comment recently that it was getting difficult keeping Ramsey out of the lineup.

And the ranking of him will, well almost, reflect this!

It would be very interesting to see if Ramsey would be getting PT right now if he had gone to United instead of Arsenal. I know it was between those two teams.

Hopefully he'll end up getting hit by a flaming grease bus, but this is a purely personal sentiment.

Genuine question - if he wasn't at Arsenal/Man Utd/Liverpool/Chelsea, would he be anywhere near this list? I really think there is a very limited amount you can prove in one start in a top flight game.

i could make a team from your bubble that would conquer the world, imo

i'm also looking forward to seeing if there are any celtic players in the list. with goalkeepers not allowed i would doubt it

I kind of have a feeling that even if GK's were included none would be on this list.

I think United will rue missing out on Ramsey. I know we tried to sign him but couldn't promise him first team game time as Wenger apparently did so he chose Arsenal.

Well Bjorn had 4 keepers on the list, Buffon, Casillas, Cesar and Given.

Meh, I like Boruc as I think he's super intense and entertaining, but brah, he's not even a top 10 keeper.

I don't know. If he is as good as I think he is, then I would think so, but with him being as good as I think he is, I also don't think it's a coincidence that it was United and Arsenal battling for him with the latter ending up paying £5 million up front, which then isn't bad for a 16 year old, when you think about it!

so you don't think Ramsey would be getting into your side right now? I am not trying to argue he does, I've just heard grumblings from your crew about Carrick being meh. Just wondering if Fergie would give him a run out or two right now.

I think it's close. Probably not any EPL games though with Fletcher injured and Carrick playing poorly it's feasible he could've gotten a game, probably not starting though. I think he's closer to the Arsenal starting XI because Diaby is a regular starter for you.

Back five
Ramsey - Song - Cesc
Rosicky - RVP - Arshavin

looks better than Diaby - Song - Cesc to me

Not that it's about potential, like I said, but I think Carrick is kind of the worst case scenario for Ramsey to turn into, and I really really like Carrick and think he is an excellent player (who is on the list too)!

Maybe Joe Cole is a better comparison though because of the dribbling skills Ramey has also showed but at the highest level who knows if he'll be able to do that consistently. It's definitely for what I see as his play making ability that he made it on to the list.
