Kansas got the Lawson bros from Memphis. Huge pickup for them for 18 recruiting.

Memphis had 3 players show up to a mandatory workout lol

Bridges returning. Michigan State easily preseason #1 now.

the last time the word mandatory was so misunderstood by someone affiliated with Memphis, they were taking Derrick Rose's SAT

Bill introduced in NC to pull UNC and NCSt from the ACC if they boycott again. North Carolina seems like the WOAT

I would pay cash money to see the NCAA snap call that bluff

You want to see heads roll? Tell those people "sorry, we're now playing in a conference with Cincinnati and BCu and **** and not the ACC". They'll lose by 50 in the polls.

Just watched the Cal 30 for 30. Ugh, college sports are so infuriating. Jim Calhoun "it would be great if all these great great players stayed another year or two, not for the kids, but for the sport." Yes, how great would it be if these broke kids bringing in billions in revenue would work another year or two for ~nothing? **** off.

Trying to think of teams that could challene MSU for preseason #1

If Donovan Mitchell comes back maybe Louisville since theyll be loaded
If UK gets Bamba and Smith, maybe them
If Duke lands Bamba they could be
Arizona could potentially be
Kansas is somewhat loaded themselves

That seems like the pool for preseason #1. Cant imagine any other team as a possibility.

Fortunately, there is not a veto-priof majority in the house.

Wichita State literally returns every single player that averaged more than 3 minutes per game last year. Maybe not #1, but they will be preseason top 5.

Possible back-to-back-to-back title games. Better if everyone sleeps on the team tho.

Going to be hard to do that. Even if we have the talent, the desire to win after winning it all is typically lower.

Grayson Allen returning for his senior year

Early favorite to lead the nation in intentional trips for a third consecutive season

Maybe this will be the year someone coldcocks him and doesn't even get called for a foul, let alone a flagrant.

Kevin Knox to Kentucky. Even though I had him going to UK a few months ago, everything recently had him not going to UK. So now it is down to Diallo and Bamba for what UK looks like next year.

But I don't know how you rank UK preseason next year. 2018 UK is going to be a lot like 2014 UK. They are going to be super young even by UK's standard. Like 2014 UK, 2018 UK is going to have growing pains, but by the end of the year they should be dangerous.

Can all the egos and individual agendas get along? Can Cal get them to mesh as a team?

For all his successes in recruiting and defining the "One and Done" era, remember that Cal has one title in his eight years in Lexington. Not shabby, but will the locals get restless if this philosophy keeps up coming up short where it really matters for bluebloods -- in the NCAAT.

This sounds like the synopsis for just about every UK team on the Cal era.

Egos Cal has never had a problem. I mean dude had Cousins and Wall on the same team. Other than Ryan Harrow I don't think he has had a problem with teams meshing.

On noes only one title in 8 years. Cal has been in position to win it all 6 of the 8 years he has been here. Just **** happens once you get to the elite 8. I'm sure you find some idiot fans on Rupp Rafters complaining about Cal.

Not to this extreme though. The leading player returning next year is Wenyen Gabriel who averaged 4.6 points a game. By the end of the year he was pretty much nonexistent as he scored 9 total points in the last 10 games.

2010 2012 and 2015 were the elite UK teams and they were pretty much elite right from the beginning of the season. But those 3 teams all had key contributors return.

Doesn't Cal call the NBA Draft the biggest day of the year for UK basketball? That would rub me the wrong way if I were a UK fan. And if UNC gets to 7 before UK gets to 9, we'll see how mellow Blue Nation is.
