Gelson started the season absolutely phenomenally, easily the best player in the league (you might remember his game against Real Madrid where he destroyed Marcelo) dropped from that superstar level throughout the season but that might be more on the team than himself. He's fast, he's very good technically and he makes very good decisions around the box. The only knocks on him might be that he hasn't scored a lot of goals and his defense needs some work.
The potential is definitely there, he's a great signing for any team as long as you're not paying something absurd for the guy.

A little confused...I hoped this Bellerin to Barca crap would quiet down for a summer or two after he signed his extension. He's under contract till 2022, so if he does go, we'd better be getting an outrageous fee. He has suffered in form at times this season, but I think a lot of that is because of the Alonso concussion and a nagging ankle injury.

Maybe we could get Aurier from PSG. We've had a pretty good track record with Ivorian RBs.

This RM wants DDG thing comes either from England, either from bum journalists from Spain who try to create an useless debate inside the club. We don't want him, we'll stick with Navas, Casilla and looks like Zidane's son as the 3rd GK.

Bellerin has been meh considering his ridiculous tools(pace) but "terrible" is just an extreme overexaggeration.
That negative assessment bias is fairly standard when a players gets hyped(especially for defenders) as people start to concentrate more on the errors and start to overlook all the good stuff(the opposite is true for teenager attackers, see Rashford)

I agree. It's rare for any club to make a formal complaint when it's just seen as standard procedure so for that to happen and PLOP to make a public apology they must have something PLOP don't want the FA or public to know.

I'm guessing we were pretty underhand leaking that he wanted to sign for us only to eliminate a bidding war then lowballed the **** out of them. They didne like.
