yep, because it's not official yet, just like Isco's new contract, but the deals were done a while ago. RM usually waits until the preseason, supercups, new transfers etc. are over to make these things official.

Ridiculously awkward spot we are in now. Owners say he won't be sold but crowd gonna be pretty toxic towards him if he stays. This injury obv ain't an injury so if he's that desperate to go we might have to say **** it and accept the next bid. Really disappointing.

Suarez was a freak in that he continued to play at 100% while hating life. Phils body language on the pitch has never been the best and I'm not convinced we'll get enough out of him this year if he's this unhappy to make it worth turning down this kind of money especially as he'll likely be moving on next year anyway.

Will see what happens but it's ****ing ridiculous to pull this **** in the last week before the season starts after just signing a new contract.

1. No excuse is needed.
2. So many ploppers (yourself included) were beating the "he's staying" drum until nanoseconds before SSN detonated that truth bomb that you really shouldn't be surprised. However, if you were surprised by the transfer request then this happening might surprise you too.
