I'll take Jakob Poeltl for $2,825,625

Good rookie season in 600ish minutes last year, good summer league, good collegiate statistical profile, no injury issues. No reason to think he's not a decent backup C as soon as next season, some upside beyond that, but should be a fine, cheap caddy for Embiid.

Moneyball selects a guy I was seriously considering:

SS updated.

Man I did not expect the Jacob Poetl pick at all.

[edit] Not that I don't like it, I was just sure you'd pick a certain player to back up a guy who has 700minutes of total experience and major injury flags.

who cares about injury red flags, if he gets injured we lose and if he doesn't we win, it's fairly binary

Heroball can't take this guy because of his remaining salary so I'll go ahead and post my pick.

Rudy Gay is moving to the Spurs this year, which should make him a much more valuable player. He's known as a high usage semi-cancer guy his whole career, but I'm expecting POP to help change that. None the less he's great value here as his usage on my team is actually not horrible.

Rudy Gay $8,406,000

Jeremy Lin
Paul George
Rudy Gay
Kevin Love
Willie Cauley-Stein

Bench:
Yogi Ferrell
Nene Hilario

Now that I think about it, there is one pretty good other direction I could have gone with these last two picks. Seems kinda close. I think it probably lowers my ceiling a bit, idk

That's probably the direction I thought you'd take, which is why I was surprised.

I'm really curious to see who Dood fires his last bullet on with all that money and it being the last pick.

I gotta think there was a better, more expensive player that he should've drafted with one of his last two picks (Tyus Jones, SloMo) that combined cost ~3.50.

I've got three wholly different directions to go with my next two picks.

The B side is dependent on the A side so if I go A and B is drafted in that 8 picks in between, I really like my team less.

I think there's one guy that really improves my team above all others so I think I have to go there and I think there's a decent chance B falls to me based on looking at the teams after me. I'd prefer to draft B because I think he's slightly more likely to get nabbed but then all the alternative A's to pair with are pretty lame and I'd rather go one of the different paths.

Keep coming back to A being the only real difference maker so I gotta go there (he should last to my next pick but we'll see).

Fwiw, when it's Wrane's turn, he has more $$$ than the spreadsheet shows. Rose's cap hit is $1,471,382, not his actual salary of $2,116,955. So he technically has $8,638,375 he can spend on these last 2 picks.

If it's a 4 hour clock, I believe Hero has 1 minute left.

Pretty sure Krayz just went out of turn because Hero couldn't afford Gay. I don't see a pick from Hero. 4 hours are up, now, though, & I think it actually is on Wrane now. Someone should probably PM Hero, though...

It's hard to KEEP UP in here. Especially when ppl, like me, are phone posting lame non- write ups during trial breaks.

I read the post when it happened, but I'm a dumbazz & skimmed like 3 times without seeing anything. I'll blame the lack of avatar & the long week.
