he has 19% usg and ranked outside the top 150 for time in possesion and touches. he will be 2nd in USG pretty easily on this team so imo its fine fit. does everything a bigman needs to do on a lebron team

i think horford is worthwhile for one of the teams who actually went cheapish over rnd1/2 (i.e stayed under 30 or so). but imo he's too limiting for the labron team with bradley (who is cheapish, but not bargain basement)

the dray green team had a lot of potential imo but has really been screwed by the skips (not unfairly obv since the guy wasn't here). looking at it now, drafting say beal instead of norm powell in rnd2 would have put him in a fine position, and now that hill/dragic types are off the board rnd3 he's missed another bite of the apple

i think hood is a good value pick - i am curious to see what that team is able to do in later rounds with that much space

i like the zeller pick, good fit, good value. he's probably a legitimately underrated player by the ave nba fan, hornets basically sucked when he was out. that team is in a v good position

There is a very cheap player I really want to take, however I feel going with value here does me little good because there simply won't be that many impact players left in the next round regardless of salary. Even though I love Nikola as the initiator on offense, I feel that there needs to be some secondary creation, but at the same time a player who will stay in his lane and be a part of the "machine" most of the time:

Spoiler:

31st in RPM
#1 in post-up efficiency (abuses switches)
Surprisingly good defensive metrics, in particular Synergy

I know I will get hate for the team bias, but he had a great year last and worked extremely well with Nikola (+8.2 net rating in in 1176 minutes).

Team so far:

Nikola Jokic
Paul Millsap
Danillo Gallinari

(ducks for cover)

I was looking at Hood earlier & was kind of surprised by how bad he appeared to be based on #s. Has to be reasonable value at this point, though.

I think it's too early to really judge financial strategies until teams round out...Bron + Al is scaring me about how the rest of that roster will look, though, when you consider guys like Larry Nance are already going.

Ariza & Otto were two guys I would have thought long & hard about.

As it is, hoping 1 of 2 guys make it back to me.

Lebron team looks good because it's lebron and they're not awful fits or anything but the remaining 5 guys will cost like 2M on average. think once it's all said and done, lebron is going to have too little help

Philosophically like the Labron team spending money. Don't think he needs to be that deep when he can play 42 playoff mins 1-5. So in a sense you can draft him and autopilot bpa, but Aejones has a great point: Labron is goat Swiss Army knife and horford is very much a Swiss Army knife kind of big. Would rather have guys with 1 or 2 elite skills you can leverage

gallo is another guy who is overpaid but worth drafting at around his actual rank as a player anyway because talent scarcity, one of the few legit good wings left. that said, he's at the point athletically where he's probably a better pf than sf imo

The good thing is that Gallo has already played with everyone else on Dood's roster so it's ok that he'll miss training camp for punching someone in the face during an exhibition game...

Actually Sap hasn't actually played for Denver yet...4-8 tho...

The whole only playing 65+ games once since 2009-2010 thing also troubling in this format...

It's not my fault the two best players on the board were pre/post Nuggets.. It wasn't particularly close.

I've basically just been RPMbot'ing this draft.

Also the other guy I was debating wasn't a Nugget, I really didn't want to draft another one because I knew it would get lol'd.

I see no intellectual obstruction to Seafood drafting 5 more Nuggets and maintaining his ev. I'm just curious as to who the five will be.

Is he missing camp? Everything I read said he'd be ready for camp but miss Eurobasket which I felt was a good thing, less chance of a real injury. The injury history thing is troublesome for the regular season, but it's worth noting a lot of his late season DNPS were For the same reason Eric Bledsoe got shut down this year and weren't related to injury.

I was 1000% the spoiler was going to be Gallo.

That was also one of the worst draft picks OAT, someone took him like #6 in a dynasty 2 or 3 years back. I wanted to mention it earlier when it was relevant to discussion but obv couldn't.

He had a disappointing year 2, I kept track because I had him in a draft after year 1.

Wouldn't be surprised if Rubio really helps his #'s year 3. Hill is very good, but he's not a traditional point - helping others.

Agreed, it's not like the draft isn't filled with guys looking to snipe everyone else in that range.

Larry Nance Jr was a rd 3 pick, as was WCS. Capela (my pick) is kind of crazy in a one year draft, yet was great value.

RoCo was misjudged and should have been a rd 2 pick for this reason, team is still filling out fine though. Staps prbly should have been a late rd 1 ... this is fun to grade guys. We should do this every year.
