Gimme Goran Dragic 17,000,450.

I needed creation and wanted a bigger PG to have a switch heavy defense.

Big Draymond
Wing Powell
PG Dragic

Over 40 million left.

Looking things over, I gotta go with Ingles at 11.6M in rd 3 as the worst pick to date.

Especially when you look contextually that it's to a team with Giannis and Ben Simmons.

Iggy in rd 2 is a similar situation at 14M to a team with Kawhi. At least a pairing with George Hill provides an identity though.

when i took lowry in round 2, i thought those last two good point guards were going to be picked right away.

Dragic and Hill. if i knew theyd be here in round 3, i cant take Lowry

From stone bust to easy max (though not easy in this format. we'll see how much the 17m from Ariza -> Porter hurts)

Wall setting him and Beal up like a boss w/ elite penetration and dishing iyam.

Ariza's best shooting of his career was with Wall in Washington too. It was his single full season there.

Like the Smart and Ariza teams. Ariza was the obvious cheap good 3&D guy that would be available here. Always gonna be a good pickup.

Really like the Smart fit too. Not a great player but doesn't need to get up a ton of shots so won't be a problem with Kyrie and Embid jacking and can lock up another teams best player. Solid picks.

Don't love the next two picks. Horford is uber meh and way overpriced. Am I right in reading the LeBron team now has ~11m remaining to fill 5 spots?

contract year bump for Porter last year. That will go down as the best season of his career.

you cant argue with Ariza's price tag. plus you get him in his contract year.

but his offense is a little bit smoke and mirrors, playing for D'Antoni and with Harden.

I think he fits great with Dame though. that is a really nice team. and one of the most cost-efficient.
Ive been drafting from the bargain basement, and I still only have 7 MM more in cap space than the Towns/Dame/Ariza squad

So how do we handle [undrafted gun toter] Provison guys? Their sportrac number doesn't reflect their cap number I don't think.

You gotta fill out an 8 man rotation, or at least 6.5 for the playoffs with a Lebron team:'you don't neeed anything horford does imo and I actually commented to Assani at one point that he was undraftable in this. it might turn out fine and al is a good player but he can't provide surplus value under any circumstance. Finding fifth and sixth men for that team on the cheap is gonna be difficult imo

I could see Horford being draftable, if it's like round 6 or 7 and you have money to spend.

round 3 tho

In terms of what? How well they've drafted? Maybe. They'll end the draft close to the top if not at the top in title equity though. It's LeBron in a league where the Warriors don't exist, and so far you've given him a non-ball dominant guard who can shut down the other teams best guard and shot 39% from 3 last year (will go up with LBJ) & a Miami Bosh clone.

You're not wrong about Horford btw, he's not worth a max in a vacuum and when you're already paying LeBron 40 million or w/e you probably could have gotten a similarish player for less. The thing is, LeBron masks those mistakes, not to mention Horford would be his best self next to LBJ, he wouldn't be counted on to create he could just be a super role player.

I'm going with

Spoiler:

Cody Zeller - $12,584,270

Entering age 24 season, elite screener (3rd in screen assists last year), RPM darling, won't get ran off the court by modern small ball lineups, half the cost of comparable centers, leaves my cap looking niiiiiiice through 3 rounds

team kkc

Beverley - $5,513,513
-
KD - $25,000,000
-
Cody Zeller - $12,584,270

i only went horford due to him being the best of the bunch left. I needed an all round big guy and just went with the best, regardless of contract. Yeah, puts me in a **** spot going forward but with the 2 guys next to lebron in a superteam less league, title equity is pretty huge.

I love Cody Zeller but question the fit, he's elite at something that will never be done. I also kind of question the LBJ/Horford fit because Al is best when he has his hands on possessions (DHOs specifically), and I'm not sure that would be the case with LBJ... whatevs though both teams are really good.

I'm still deciding, give me about 10 minutes.

Debating on one of the few remaining steals and an expensive star-ish player.
