it's been a while since i've seen a fanbase as butthurt as the 49ers fanbase currently is. complaining about the refs, claiming riggage, trying to convince everyone they were the best team in football for the last 3 years.

then again, it's hard to blame then. the past 3 years has to be one of the most frustrating/agonizing runs for a nfl team. not since the buffalo bills has a team been so consistently close only to blow it, for so many years in a row. 2 years ago they blew it with the fumbled punts, last year they got off to a slow start in the superbowl and couldn't recover, and this year had to be the hardest to swallow.

not only did they come up short again, but it came against their hated rivals and they blew a 10 point lead. the most hated player on their rival made the game winning play. their qb, who made a commercial about basically winning in seattle, choked in the 4th quarter with 3 turnovers in the last 11 minutes. then they had to watch seattle go on to win the superbowl. thats about as bad as it gets.

when you consider all that, its easy to see why their are so many tears and 9er fans are looking for any possible excuse to use, like blaming the refs or claiming the nfl is rigged.

I'm a Niners fan and I don't post much in SE but I feel like I have to to balance things out right now.

49ers were not as good as the Seahawks this year and they were gifted a bunch of calls against Carolina (who knows how that game would have played out). SRM and Phildo are awesome, but there are lots of ****ty Niners posters in SE.

Really disappointed there hasn't been an official response from poster "salutations taliban" concerning how ref riggage screwed the Broncos out of a Super Bowl win.
