Navarro Bowman fumble recovery was 1 of the worst calls I ever seen. Other than that though 49er fans are grunching

In hindsight I think they have to be furious that they weren't harmed by that call. Then they'd really have a beef.

Refs have been pure **** since they came back after the golden tate fiasco.

that call just showed how awful the refs were that day. how they could completely miss and ignore it. i know it didn't actually affect the results because of the luck box fumble. i'm not going to claim rigged, i just claim the refs are inept--that's true not only in that game, but if carolina fans want it, the carolina-sf game and every game. the refs needs to become full time and they need someone reviewing every big play including penalties. nfl should also be more transparent on missed calls especially when they are game changing.

I'm sure you're right. They saw what appeared to be a vicious shoulder to head shot and thought "Wait - let's see if it was Hitner.... it was? OK I'm throwing the flag then. His reputation precedes him in my opinion."

Didn't you admit you don't really watch football anymore? The game has changed a lot the last couple years. These flags are super standard now.

Whether I agree with it or not, when I saw the play I immediately thought "flag", per their rules.

I am talking about the defenseless receiver flag over the middle. If we're talking about something else then I'm mistaken.

Every now and then officials go full ******. it's an unfortunate side effect of watching NFL.

The refs made it clear that the Panthers had no chance to win that game - even in their own house. I think I turned it off halfway through.

Can we finally talk about how rigged Super Bowl XLV was?

No? I watched less football this past season that in other seasons but I still watched quite a bit, including every Redskins game and every single playoff game (except for the majority of the Panthers/49ers game).

I'm not disagreeing but a few people have mentioned this. I didn't see most of this game. What were the calls that went against Carolina? TIA.

Bowman call on the field is bad, but I can see how it's more a result of chance (just not being able to see it- but I don't recall if the refs had a clear view) than just a horrible call. The potential injustice there was more not being able to review it. (that's why I was rooting for us to go for it and fail).

To me, that's the biggest issue with the NFL. We can't expect them to be prefect, but replay should

1- do a much better job of allowing them to fix mistakes (If PI is a spot foul, it HAS to be reviewable)
2- not be so obviously subject to ego in terms of not overturning bad calls and deferring to the judgement of people who have to view things in real time.

Every point SF scored in the first half never happens without terrible and/or obvious missed calls. They had 2 FG's and a TD and none of them should have happened. They might not even get a FG instead of their TD since they were supposed to be backed up to the 30 or so from the non-called Boldin head butt that drew a league fine but no flag. Earlier in the game the officials kept a SF drive alive to get them in FG range on an absurd head butt call vs a CAR defender that got a flag but no fine. It was barely a tap while Boldin put real force into his.

Their other FG drive was kept alive on a ridiculous late hit call on a tipped pass that landed near and AFTER the hit on the receiver happened. It wasn't a dirty hit so they couldn't call hitting a defenseless receiver so they called it a late hit despite the play still being active and the tipped ball in the vicinity of the receiver.

I don't think the game was rigged but it was unbelievably bad officiating and every key call went in favor of SF.

The Boldin tap was lol nothing. The Carolina one was lol nothing as well. LOL real force. The Helmet hit, was on 1st and 10, which would have been 2nd and 6. It's not like it was a drive extending play necessarily. The penalty right before that on Luke was on 2nd down, again, not necessarily saving the drive. Luke has held a ton and not been called this year.

The refs suck. The refs also called an unsportsmanlike conduct on the 9ers for a sack on Skuta where Cam turned around and got blindsided--obviously you guys threw a pick so it's not "irrelevant". They missed an easy TD call for VD which again caused a stupid flag on Harbs freaking out--obviously also irrelevant because it was at the end of the half.

Blame the loss in the Panthers inability to score on the goal line, came up with 3 points on 2 big trips although the one ended up being 7 anyways due to bad punt coverage. They also couldn't get to Kaepernick and Cam got repeatedly roughed up.

It's not like Carolina lost by 3, they lost by 13 when the 9ers could have easily scored more. The 9ers went super conservative after up 10. A ton of this sounds like the Pats fans thinking the Broncos game was all the refs fault.

the good news is that they dont call into some lame ass office in new york to make everything perfect. otherwise, you guys would have nothing to argue about 3 weeks later and that is no fun.

What you guys are not getting is that it's not just that the 49ers are the best team in football, but that they are also the best thing, period. The refs did not just cost them a Superbowl win, they were also cheated out of the Cannes Palme d'Or, the Nobel prize in chemistry, and probably half a dozen Golden Globes as well.

Kaep should have won Miss Universe. THAT was so rigged.

Too bad we cant just stick to analyzing it and figuring out the liklehihood of the refs making that many horrible calls in one game.

And a legitimate question. How are those clock problems even possible? If this was rigged, it was almost carelessly, blatantly rigged.

The refs have got to go. What is the explanation for this anyway? In this day in age? Noone is disturbed by this?
