Re: Voice control with AHK scripts?

I've programmed Dragon Naturally Speaking to basically have full control over everything. I can call, fold, raise, close windows, choose tables, select different options, sitout, even input the amount I want to bet.

It's pretty awesome.

Re: Voice control with AHK scripts?

can you explain how I go about programming dragon naturally speaking? Got it installed now but have no idea what to do.

Do I have to add scripts in the command editor?

Re: Voice control with AHK scripts?

This is a great thread.

As far as dragon, you need to get the professional version I'm pretty sure, and they are borderline scam artists with their pricing model. I was just messing around with it and could really use some resources that would make it easier to learn.

I just ordered hands free poker, but am concerned about the comparisons to the home brew version that Peru has going, I guess I will try both. By the way have you tried windows voice recognition macro creator? The download is here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

I am a complete novice so I'm not sure what exact functionality that adds, there doesn't seem to be very many good sites that show you how to play poker with your voice =)

Can somebody make a video, like 5 mins to demonstrate using voice control or make a tutorial?

Re: Voice control with AHK scripts?

just tried hands free poker and it works great! the only problem being that if you're playing 4 tables the numbering of the tables can be reordered, however one can easily tell which tables are which despite the numbering based on saying "table 3" or "table 4" . I'm also surprised by the lack of popularity of this program. I want to buy it but still want to know if the real version is just as good as the trial (don't see why it wouldn't be) I have five days on the trial and will probably end up buying the new and improved version set to come out this month.

I also just downloaded the windows speech recognition mentioned above and will comment on how well it works later.

just thought id let those interested know that the beta for hands free poker (newer 3.0 version) is being tested according to their site. Anyone have any updated news in detail about when their new version will be released?

Re: Voice control with AHK scripts?

Hey guys,

A friend of mine just showed me this thread, very interesting.

I have been working with xPeru to figure out the features, etc, everyone is looking for. Its extremely challenging, but we are up to it.

Just to let you guys know we just finished a 4 day trade show at the WSOP and got tons of good exposure and users, etc. It was really exhausting however and I'm TOTALLY dead.

We just recently posted a version 3.0 beta which supports Full Tilt, Party Poker and Poker Stars. The switching and voice commands are excellent on Tilt and Party. Poker Stars made some update to their software and broke ours, so we are working to come out with a fix in these next few weeks. We added our first installment of Hot Keys in this version, as requested by xPeru, so thats exciting, although I'm sure its not quite perfect yet.

Just a quick into, I've been playing online for a long time and have some RSI, overuse issues, thats how this company came about. I've gone through all the actions you guys are trying like getting Dragon to work, using MTT Helper, I've tried everything I promise, thats when I decided someone needs to do something about this.

Hands Free Poker is growing very rapidly and we appreciate the support. Maybe we can use this thread to constructively get feedback and help the program get to my (and hopefully your) dream of 12 tabling with only voice commands. I know its possible!

Thanks,

Jeff

Re: Voice control with AHK scripts?

xPeru,

Please download the new version 3.0 that just got released this week. It works EXCELLENT for Tilt and Party (i know you play Party).

Again, stars new update broke some things for now, so next update will address that.

Let me know if you need an extended time for your license.

Cheers,

Jeff

Re: Voice control with AHK scripts?

I am trying out handsfreepoker 3.0 now. It seems that the full tilt update has broken HFP, because it doesnt seem to recognize the table. (keep it in a fixed position).

Anyway, I canīt get it to work. I have done the microphone setup and training. I have tried with Stars, Party and Full Tilt.

I have tried it both with and without Vistaīs Speech Recognition program running. (Blue mic icon in the dock).

I can navigate the start menu, dictate a document etc without a problem. But when I say Fold, Check etc with HFP running in the background nothing happends.

I am sure this is a little retarded mistake on my side, since it seems to be working fine for all others. But I canīt figure out what!

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Btw, I am runnning a trial version. (But will gladly pay once I get it to work!)

Re: Voice control with AHK scripts?

For fun I tried out the Windows Vista Speech Recognition software and along with Windows Speech recogniton Macros with an AHK script. I used a Bluetooth S9 mike (getting that to work on a desktop was a pain). It was first my first try with speech recogniton and I'm no computer jock and so my setup was as crude and simplistic as possible. I got it to work pretty well for one table and sorta okay for 4 tables. Getting it to act on the right table was difficult for me and also if I didn't speak distinctly or said something aloud not meant for the Table, the software would stall or worse yet make an incorrect play. Its embarassing to unintentionally "call" a big bet with T2o LOL. I would need to improve it more to feel real comfortable with it. Maybe somebody better at this can make a better setup. Its probably easier for me to go with handsfreepoker software.

Re: Voice control with AHK scripts?

Yes, the full tilt update broke Hands Free Poker for the meantime.

We are working on figuring out what happened and putting the pieces together, I think the consensus is that everyone is pretty fired up about how poorly this update has been performing thus far, but knowing software, only time will tell.

Can anyone explain why my other username got banned for life? What did I do? I'm just trying to answer questions about the software, etc.

Thanks,

Jeff

Re: Voice control with AHK scripts?

To my fellow RSI sufferers I would like to recommend the OCZ NIA. I've only messed with it a little bit but it is rock solid in terms of at least one command: you can raise your eyebrows to fold, which is like half of the inputs anyway. I'm pretty sure I can figure out a few more like eye glancing etc. but all I really needed was the fold. It's $90.00 at Amazon with a $20.00 mail in rebate that you have to fight tooth and nail to get.

Pokerologist I just made a guide a few days ago about exactly what you're trying to do, you can search my prior posts to see it.

Jeff, find a green name in this forum and private message them, I'm sure they'll restore your original account with an explanation.
