Re: Tournament Overlay (bonus) finder

A quick update:
Full Tilt:
Along with the new client, FT appears to have changed all the guaranteed tournaments to rebuys. OZ does not alert about rebuy tournaments, since any overlay that may exist at the start of the tournament, will likely disappear in time.
We've stopped tracking FT and will resume if they will have some real overlay opportunities.

Absolute/Ultimate:
We have not tracked them for a few days due to technical iussues, but we are now tracking them again.

If there's a site with good overlays that you want to be included in OZ, let us know.

Good luck!

Re: Tournament Overlay (bonus) finder

How about extended registration on Stars which lasts 60 mins? Just downloaded the software and watched what it shows. Nothing unusual are 50% overlays at the beginning of the tourney and prize pool reaching 2x guaranteed amount at the end of extended registration 60 minutes later.

What's the point to include Stars tourneys in your tool in that case? Or I'm missing the point somewhere?

Of course, I can join such turnament with 50% overlay at the beginning and even if there's no overlay at the end I can still enjoy donators who put their buyins for initial 1500 chips when average stack is 3000. It's still worth something, but you can't call it overlay.

Re: Tournament Overlay (bonus) finder

Unfortunately, there is no way for me to know in advance if a tournament will have late reg or not.
Many Stars tournaments do not have late reg, so it's not clear how to treat their tournaments.

If you have any suggestion, let me know and I'll see if I can incorporate it.

You are right that there is good value in such tournaments as well.

Re: Tournament Overlay (bonus) finder

I've had it running for 24 hours set min to 2% and haven't seen one alert.
Is this normal?

Re: Tournament Overlay (bonus) finder

My apologies, but during a server upgrade yesterday we encountered some problems that are now supposed to be resolved.

Please restart the application and let me know if you get alerts.
I suggest that until you see alerts, you set the filter to 5 minutes and 0% and have all the game types selected.

In case you still do not see alerts please contact me at support@overlayzone.com and I'll check what it is.

NB: Sunday is slow on alerts though, since many players do play. If you have no alerts by tomorrow, please let me know.

Re: Tournament Overlay (bonus) finder

As a follow up on the previous message:

Part of the upgrade problem I mentioned above was that some iPoker tournaments showed up in OZ, and stayed there forever. This problem should now be resolved, but you have to quit OZ and start it again to get rid of those alerts.
