Pokerstars sound issue

Ive recently gone back to playing on pokerstars. For some reason every time i play after a while the sound on my laptop completely stops. Ive checked all the volume settings etc and they all make it look like there should be noise but there isnt. The sound doesnt just stop on pokerstars, theres no sound at all (itunes, youtube everything). When i restart the laptop though all the sound comes back to normal including pokerstars and all ive done is reset it no change to any settings!

Does this happen to anyone else? any suggestions on how i can fix it? because obviously stars is a great site but no sound makes it pretty frustrating.

Have you tried reinstalling your sound- and/or chipset drivers, and DirectX? Would be the first thing I'd try. Pretty sure the issue has nothing to do with Stars.

thanks, how do you do that? sorry not very good at computers. Think it might though it never happened then i started playing on stars and after a couple of hands at a table the sound cuts out, it only ever happens after a couple of hands and happens every time.
