What are the advantages of Holdem Manager over Poker Tracker 3 and vice versa?
Thanks!
They both havea free trial period. HEM is the local favourite (and comes at a discount via DeucesCracked and other coaching sites offer), but the differences between the two are small and either would be a good choice. It will more likely come down to any personal preference after you try them out.

Here`s a tough question- any software I can use to break my college firewall and stop it from blocking full tilt poker? (nb the ftp software is blocked, not the site). It`s the college wireless network.

I'm using Holdem Manager and full tilt.

Is there a way to see the stats of the players(from hands I've played with them) on a table I open without sitting down and playing a couple hands?

Any one having glitches with HEM HUD recently? Yesterday one of my opponents whom I have a ton of hands on displayed "0 hands" and the hover popup that shows winrate displayed "1.#J BB/100". Now today it is doing the same thing for hero's stats.

What version are you using? That sounds like a (very) old bug.

1) Please update to the latest version - http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmUpdate.exe
2) If that doesn't help, please answer these questions - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=174
3) Post the answers in a new thread on the HM Forums with screen shots - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/index.php

Is there an easy way to stack tables from Full Tilt and Pokerstars and have them pop up as required without having having them pop on top of each other?

The secondary logon service is a standard windows service which is available on every windows computer. In the latest versions it is not started automatically. You need to start it via control panel > administrative tools > services. Starting it once should insure it works in the future also.

Under Windows 7 you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe to be started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executable's and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Re: ** Quick Questions & Answers Thread ** LC / OT (aka: "Ask _dave_ & Juk")

I would like a program that automatically clicks the "Time" button on PokerStars. I am not interested in automating anything else.

A search has revealed that there is a large number of programs that does this, including Poker Shortcuts and Table Ninja.

But these includes dozens of other functions that I don't need. Is there any suitable *lightweight* solution that does the trick (just auto-activate time bank)?

I'm using Win 7 x64 and Vista x64. (Compatibility with Aero would be a plus but isn't necessary. I don't like the idea of having to turn off UAC at all.)

EDIT: open-source would be a plus

Hello -

I'm still looking for a bet pot type script that works with Ultimate Bet. I tried the actual old school bet pot script from the overcards wiki and couldn't get it to work. Is there any pay software available, a la table ninja or FT shortcuts?

Also, does an auto rebuy program exist for UB?

My StarsUrgentTable script or it's modified version StarsAssistant will do this timebank clicking for you. StarsUrgentTable in particular does very little else - It displays some borders, these can be easily disabled. Both are Free/Open.

BetPot won't work on UB since the cerius changeover. I believe it's more like absolute now, and I never got that working. Thois has an absolute script posted here recently, it could maybe work on UB? depends how much differences there is between clients these days I suppose.

I doubt it. try SSH tunnel to your home computer/webserver or similar? Doing such specifically to evade blocking measures probably breaks your school's "Acceptable Use of Network" policy, penalties for which will vary from trivial to insta-fail course.
