If I open FullTilt I can open 18 tables with PT and PAHUD running on all tables, I can have have MSN, AIM, Firefox, PokerEV, and whatever else without any problem.

If I open 10 tables on Absolute with NOTHING else running (no PAHUD, no PT, no PokerEV, no anything, not even firefox) I get horrendous slowdown.

Firstly, is this common, and secondly is there a way to solve it?

I asked a question about FTP multitabling 2 days ago. I know it doesnt solve your problem but maybe you can solve mine. How do you multitable 18 tables on FTP? Do you Tile them? If not, how do you deal with the fact that tables pop in front of the active one when cards are dealt and before you have made you decision?

thanks

You can open 18, but you can only play 16. I open 18 to datamine.

I have two 22" monitors, so I can tile 6 and 6 quite comfortably and I can manage 9 and 9 (although my HUD stats are hard to read when I do that). Alternatively, I think cascading half and half solves a few problems (half on one screen, half on the other) because there are less tables to pop up on each side. Dual monitors really helps.

Do we want to classify having cbet called as loss, regardless of hand outcome? that makes it trickier imo
Lets take an example of what I'm looking for.

Example: Assume a 2/4 NL game. Button raises 14 from the button. I 3bet from BB to 44. Button call the 30. There is 90 in the pot. Flop misses me completely. I bet 70.

If Button calls I lose 70 (b/c I will fold or lose at SD 100% of the time); if button folds I win 90 (the current size of the pot). The report I'm looking for would show a loss of 70 when i lost and a gain of 90 when I won.

Under the existing filter based methods of the trackers that I'm aware of, the report I would run would show a gain of 46 (villains 44 + $2 Sb) when I won and a loss of 114 (44 + 70).

In other words, I want the results-oriented value of the action itself.

Make sense?

That would be the basic/beginnings of the filter in HM.
fozzy, thx....look at my post in response to dave for more details of my question.

Perfect sense, which after an evening of poking around with filters I am unable to get - this is what I was thinking you wanted, and it seems we must resort to SQL to get it.

I'd think this (and the many permutations one could analyze in this fashion) would be a useful "leak finder" method, I'll certainly be trying to get SQL working tonight

If you do, perhaps I'll put a little GUI to it.

Have you tried Stars Planner yet?

I know there was some call for a "river call efficiency" stat a while ago (how much you win/lose just on river decisions), and I thought briefly about applying that to other streets and situations (but quickly gave up). If you can come up with something that works I'd be very interested in it. I think it's a great idea.

You have to capture the layout with all stars tables - then it will control the ftp tables the same.

k thx for that i now have a layout of 4 blocks of 3 cascaded windows, and stars planner will put whichever table i open into the next available slot

i dont have time to try now, but will i have problems if a PS/FTP table is cascaded under a FTP/PS table? cuz thats mostly what im looking for, cuz when they are cascaded together usually ill have to act on all pending tables for one site first before i can even get to a table on the other site

I am not positive, as I never played both at the same time. Hopefully dave will know. If that doesn't do it, you might? need to try the Urgent Table Script(s) also, but I honestly am just guessing. I never played the same stakes at both sites, so never considered playing them at the same time.

i use FTS and Stars Assistant and as it is now i don't have automatically activate table with pending action set on FTS and don't have activate urgent table activated either on SA. using this method, i can just mouse over any table i wanna act on, but it gets difficult when the sites are cascade/interlaced.

if i activate urgent table on SA i have to act on all pending PS tables b4 i can get to a FT one, if i activate pending table on FTS i have to cascade all of my FT tables into their own block and they pop up in order.

cliff notes, i want tables from different sites that are cascaded interlaced with eachother to pop up in the order that they require action, regardless of which site the table is on

Do you need StarsAssistan't "all-in detect" (I assume yes)?

I thought you could set up a generic import site/folder and do a force import.... thats ghey, imo. I tried talking this noob into just usin pt3/hm - but he is afraid of change. Helping him convert to sql and merge his 50k hand second access db.

no cuz it makes things difficult and weird when i enable it, thats why i cascade in blocks, so i can get to an AI table easier

Oh, you can just set "generic auto import" to the whole folder - it just takes almost exponentially longer the more hands you try to process at a time - so if you've got 50K hands in 100 files, it will do it in a tenth of the time if you do it in 10 batches of 10, for example.

50K hands total may not take that long to do, however - can't remember if that is reasonable amount or way larger than PT2 generally likes

Have the noob import all at once lol, then re-do the test with HM / PT3 for lols

So you are just using Assistant to give you the red border to identify tables, and activating them yourself?

Easy to add FTP tables to the mix if that is the case.

I had him do it in groups, and think we got them all. I did talk him into trying out the HM trial next week, and then the PT3 trial after that. I will obv have to help him a bit, but he is nice enough to toss me few $'s for my time when I do.

yea, also to click time bank, kill popups, and auto take seat, but only when im playing both sites...if im just playing stars, i enable activate urgent table

even without activate urgent table enabled, the stars tables still pop up in order, but only in the order for that site. if a ftp table pops up or vice/versa, it causes problems.

toohigh I am in the same boat as you. I play FTP and stars and have a major problem playing both sites interlaced. Any idea how we can do this so that each table no matter which site pops up in order.?
