I had two (for me) huge revelations in the last couple of days.

1, coming from sng and going back to cash I stuck with a planner setup of 4 stacks of 4 tiled tables. I never actually see the showdowns -> I am tilt free

2, I mapped "call" to browser forward on my home mouse (logitech gx? 400). I can hardly reach that button so this auto-increased my agg and I play less like a vagina.

yay for software

Does any one know of a random number generator program that I could use to randomly generate numbers from 1-100?

Depends on the level of "randomness" you desire - but it can be done in almost any language easily.

What you want it for? do you just want a load of random numbers in a file? MS Excel / OpenOffice can do this very easily, it *think* you just put =RAND(1,100) or similar in a cell.

There is a site that the uNL guys used for generating random draw numbers, when they were running the HU tourney. I dont recall the site, but someone in the brew will know.

hi I am trying to install table shark and it needs a password for Postgres. I am pretty sure I left the password as default but I cant remember what it was. Any ideas?

the suggested password when following the PT instructions to install SQL is:

postgrespass

I think you don't need the password if you edit pg_hba.conf and change "MD5" to "trust", amirite?

in start menu -> programs -> postgresql -> configuration files

I am going to try and make a fancy new "announcement-sticky" over the next week, using the awesomeness that is CMAR's template - see the FRNL one here: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/an....php?f=78&a=37

Looks very nice (and easy to use), yes?

I request ideas what to include, if anyone can think of brilliant threads and has a minute to find them please to be sending me a PM of links

Is it gonna be a kind of "thread of the week" thing?

more of an index of:
"If you are asking about FPHG - post it HERE!"
"If you are asking about BetPot - post it HERE!"
"If you are wanting FTP mods - look HERE!"
"If you are wanting PokerStars mods - look HERE!"

"Wondering What's What with next-gen Trackers? HERE HERE and HERE!"

and so on.

So there can be little excuse for redundant OPs that stand little chance of being seen by people that will help

all in a nice expandable format like CMAR's sticky I linked to above

Does anyone know of a greasemonkey script that can auto-size images or something?

The FTP mod thread is horrible to read, since massive images keep loading and shunting what I am reading off the bottom of the browser window

Yep, but it's the "Remove 2p2 Ads" script. It removes the right side-bar block ads, and also auto-resizes any over-sized images.

Last time someone posted it in-line, the link was deleted.

I see a lot of people posting graphs with their PT stats, and I'm wondering which program you need to make them?
Quick Questions & Answers Thread Quote

Yeah, removing 2p2 ads is kind of "biting the hand that feeds" imo.

I will always use flashblock however (which allows me to play flash adverts if I so desire) - with 150+ saved tabs, flash adverts use >90% CPU and often outright crash my firefox, resulting in aother 15 minute load time

not any more

EDIT: It is not ads that cause my page to re-flow, it is the big PNG files for cards / tables etc. - they start as a one-line post, but then over the course of a few inutes grow to a couple of pages in height each... lol slow internet

This belongs in the "easy posts go here" thread imo.

PokerGrapher, PokerPatterns (for PokerTracker 2 databases)

Holdem Manager can make it's own graphs, as can PokerTracker 3 Beta.

PokerEV Beta 0.80 makes nice graphs for PT2 (better than PG imo)

@dave: http://www.visi.com/~sgrantz/greasemonkey.html

Try the "UBB preserve width" script

Edit: Just noticed, that does not work as supposed, try bookmarking following java-script, i'll search or repare another greasemonkey script:
Code:
javascript:maxwidth=800;pi=document.getElementsByTagName(%22img%22);for(var%20i=0;i<=pi.length;i++){var%20aspectratio=(pi.item(i).height/pi.item(i).width);if(pi.item(i).width>maxwidth){pi.item(i).width=maxwidth;pi.item(i).height=aspectratio*maxwidth;}}
using it as a normal bookmark on any page with too big pictures

I'm trying to make chips for Party and am having a transparency issue. When I use my modded chips on a default sized table the transparent layer is transparent.

Whenever I resize the table, smaller or larger, they lose their transparency and the layer turns white.

I dunno much about this stuff tbh. I used gimp to make the transparent layers, and the files are GIFs.

I never had any luck using GIMP and maintaining transparency - but that was ages ago. Try using GetPaint.net - open source image editing, similar to PhotoShop - and handles PNG/GIF transparency better, afaik.

Most of my transparency problems went away when I began using PShop (I never used GetPaint). Altho there can still be other transparency problems with the edge anti-aliasing due to semi-transparent pixels as well, which will cause small green pixel edges, when attempting to resize images with transparency.
