You can set a default background, for the stake you play the most often, and then use simplemodmanager to change the background when you open a dif stake

I'm currently in the midst of upgrading my old poker computer, and I want to migrate my old software to newer versions, with minimal disruption to how I'm used to playing.

Currently, I'm using PokerTracker2, PokerAce HUD, and BetPot0.2s AHK to play 4-6tables of 6m LHE or 2tables of HU sngs on Windows XP. I want to migrate to Holdem Manager, using the latest version of Postgre necessary (8.4.1 or 8.3.8?). I'm not concerned immediately about migrating my databases over. Will BetPot work under Windows7, or has it been eclipsed by something better? (Almost all my play is on Stars)

It seems that HEM has a pretty good installation guide, so I guess my main question is about the version of postgre (and any Windows7 quirks), as well as BetPot compatibility. Thanks in advance for anyone who cares to respond.

Under Windows 7 you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe to be started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executable's and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

For my poker nights, I'd like to play a series of DVDs - but don't want to have to change the discs every x minutes. Thus, I'd like to rip the data off the DVDs onto my harddisk, and into files.

They're concerts, so maintaining the (presumably mp3) audio quality is more important that the video quality. I imagine an open source program (or freeware at the least) which will take my DVD and convert the main movie into a single AVI file will be best.

What do people recommend as the best method to do this?

(This is legal in my country, and I'm not interested in pirating or doing anything illegal here)

PT2 has an omaha version, but the Omaha module is in development for PT3 as well - I expect the initial release of this before the end of the year (although that is subject to change).

I recently purchased some additional RAM for my computer since it had been lagging a lot when I ran lots of different applications at once. Now I have plenty of RAM, but I find that my CPU Usage is at 100% a lot of the time. Is there any way to buy more "CPU Usage space" or whatever? Or am I pretty much stuck with what I have?

Well yeah you can usually upgrade your CPU depending on what you already have. It's not quite so easy as adding more RAM but it isn't nightmare hard either. But it is often expensive for the often small benefit you get. Usually it is best to wait for the next-gen CPU and replace the whole motherboard + CPU at once for a more expensive but far larger increase in CPU power. That's real generic however as we don't know what you have so what upgrade options may be available.

When is CPU use at 100%. It is worth checking out you haven't got something wrong with a software you're using causing it to use far more CPU than it normally would.

Right click on the taskbar and open "task manager" select processes tab, sort by CPU usage and see what application is tying up your CPU most often.

im searching for a program that arranges my sitngo tables. example i tile 9 tables like that:

i like to have them organized from the table with the highest blinds at the top left to the table with the lowest blinds in the lower right. if i bust at one of the tables, lets say table 7, i want table 8 to be placed at position 7 and table 9 positioned at 8 and the software should register me for a new sng and place the table at position 9.
is there a software that automatically do all that for me?

I just downloaded some new FT dealer button mods. How do I add them?

I have found the chip folder, do I rename the dealerbutton to dealerbutton_old and then add the new dealer button as dealerbutton?

^ I figuired it out and that is how you do it, new to the mod thing so I was a little apprehensive about just trying it but decided to just go with it.

Using PT3 right now for Pokerstars, but I'd like to display some stats about the entire table as a whole (so I can quickly determine if I want to keep staying at the table). I know you can see this stuff from the lobby but is there some way to display it like, at the top of the table?

In PT3 create a new group, Table Averages:Show on Table then just add the stats you would like. Should do it.

Now I am having a new problem, trying to use the Syfted Decks (http://www.2shared.com/file/6763036/...Cards_1_4.html) But when I put use it all I see the clubs and diamonds as normal and not as the card mod shows them, yet the hearts and spades work as they should using the card mod. All I did was copy/paste the whole card mod folder so I am not sure what is going wrong.
