Push/Fold Software - What should I buy?

Hi All,

Im fairly new - currently playing $0.50, 45 man turbos. I have very limited funds for purchasing new software however I currently have a HUD (Tournament Indicator) which I bought ages ago and still use.

Due to the nature of Turbos, I find myself in the push/fold phase of the tournament very quickly, and have found that I need software to learn the math behind different spots. Also, to be able to analyse spots and identify if I made the right move (even if it didn't go my way).

So the question is, given my extremely low budget, which software should I use? (is there free push/fold analysis software?).

I can buy PokerTracker micro for $59.95, but does this allow for ICM and shove calculations? - if it does then why do people use ICMIZER aswell?

What should I do? - my feelings are that if I dont have software I am going to have troubles developing my game.

Thanks all.

I use this: it's a free software and I think it's quite good.

Poker Trackers ICM calculator isn't very usefull IMO, but it has trial so you can check it for yourself. ICMIZER and Holdem Resources Calculator are top ICM calculators, again, first one gives you 3 free calcs per day and secon one has trial so you can check out both of them. Finally Simple Nash is free and not much behind ICMIZER and HRC, and since you play micros is probably best solution for you.

Hi boza000,

Thanks for your post. I am downloading "Simple Nash" now, but just wanted to ask a few questions.

My understanding is the ICM is used close to the money bubble, where else Nash equilibrium is used in the lead up. So, in a 45 man tourny the top 7 get paid, so my thinking was that at final table I would use ICM calculations, with the prior stages using Nash Equilibrium.

Do this sounds correct? - And does Simple Nash do Nash Equilibrium AND ICM? Both seem important...

Cheers,
Kruupy

Well, ICM and Nesh equilibrium are pretty wide and complicated topics and I am probably not best person to explain them. Search this forum or elsewhere on internet for answers, but ICM is very important if you are going to play SnG's.
