This is my first attempt at sharing files. I just signed up with MediaFire to do this...

NoChance Stars Mod

The zip file contains a folder named skoal2k4.pokerstars.com. Just place the entire folder in your xtemes folder.

It also contains the back.bmp that I am using. This needs to be placed inside C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Gx\chips&deck\deck\simple

You will need to also follow fozzy71's instructions above to get the card faces.

Once complete you need to update your xthemes.ini to include the following:

[skoal2k4@skoal2k4.pokerstars.com]
name=skoal2k4
folder=skoal2k4.pokerstars.com\skoal2k4
base=simple@pokerstars.com
deck=simple

Then simply log into Stars and change your theme to skoal2k4 and select the Simplified deck.

*Disclaimer: I am using an old xtheme provided by skoal2k4 a long time ago. I simply made additional changes to some of the seats, controls, and table.

I like the dark background so hud numbers display clearly. Again, hopefully this works. It is my first attempt.

WOOHOO. Finally got Everlong's XThemes workin on my machine. Now I just need to learn how to finish making my cards for stars.

everlong can you make a second pitchblack version with it? it might look nice especially with these card "holes"

and cardholes needs to get bigger but thats easy to do

use the mask from the PartyPoker table or any other later table I've made
(they are totally transparent masks).

btw: what is a cardhole?

Go to your PokerStars folder and create a shortcut to the one named PokerStars. Drag and use that to log in. That one does not do the update every time. The shortcut currently on your desktop is pointed at PokerStarsUpdate.

Unfortunately the card changes don't work if placed inside the XThemes folder or this would not be a problem.

90% of their updates are not critical to your play. IF at some time there is a critical update it will not allow you to log in successfully through the path I just gave you. Also you will see a few threads started here along those lines people saying they can't log in, etc. At that time you will have to do the update and re-do the cards. Again tho, those types of larger updates dont happen often. If I remember correctly, I went over a year without needing to do an update.
