bud, save your PNGs as PNGs (with transparency).
DL the PSTIG archive distributed by Pokerstars, also hosted here
Use the png2bmp app to turn your PNG into 2 bmp files
(.bmp for main chipfile and .a.bmp for it's mask.)
you can view the mask, if you're curious by using the mskmgr application also included in the PSTIG archive.

Instructions on both of these processes can be found in a guide to most of the modding content ITT up until Jan 2011 in this pokermodding pdf

voila. pokerstars compliant BMP chips + maskfile for transparrency.

ok, plenty of chips to covert this way...making adjustments or multiple chipsets? that's a lot of time in the command-line.

you can create a batch file to contain all of this work (egoogali ms-dos batch files) so all you would have to do is load your PNG files into a certain folder, run your batch file and smile at CPU automation.

When are the new cards expected to be on PokerStars and will there be an option to have yellow spades?

Ok all the PokerStars chips have been updated and you can now download the new files. I also added a MyFavs folder so you can create you own sets. Let me know if you have any problems.

Thanks, I have a couple of "actions" saved in PhotoShop that help me do multiple things at once, it really did not take long to fix.

Re: Pokerstars Theme (free) [main Poker Stars mods thread]

Can you reccomend me some of the top/most popular mods ? I got 2560x1600 monitor and plan to play 4x3 tables of MTTs. Something that can fit big HUD, nothing fancy, black background, probably green table, no need for special cards or chips... Theres just too many websites selling themes, gazillion of themes in this thread and I am lost. I dont care if its paid mod if its nice.
Also has to be compatible with TableNinja

Have you tried the built in theme called Nova? Its looks nice and you can change the background and table felt to any color you want.

Better than "black", certainly more space for HUD but its still image theme (even though "small image" theme) which is useless for me if I dont use avatars and it just takes space.

Assuming you need it to be TableNinja compatible, this should fit your needs:

If you don't need TableNinja this one is pretty nice:

I hate the big cards on Nova theme. Slick theme has normal cards, but its not listed as supported by tableninja Is there a way to get small cards on table instead of big cards behind nick on the Nova theme ? And would it be still compatible with tableninja after that ?

a partial tutorial here. most of the techniques required are covered but it's very brief on the specifics you ask about. (i.e., you could learn how to do it by reading the pdf a few times and then applying that new knowledge)

this was requested on the PokerStars Software Improvement thread fairly recently.

I believe that the response from PokerStars was: this is under consideration.

It is possible, it would require the partial redesign of the settings file for Nova. these changes would not affect tableNinja compatibility as far as I know

you would need some extensive editing of a settings file (gx.ini) for that theme to make those changes.
there is no comprehensive guide to gx editing that I know of but there is plenty of information within this thread if you had the dedication to search and start learning.
One of the tools you would need for gx editing would be table crab which can be found on google code.
