It doesn't really matter as long as the finished files are .png
I'm mostly using Inkscape, which means working with .svg and I do some after processing with GIMP if it's necessary.

the board spacing is controlled (in the main gx.ini) by the last two digits for coffs-quasar. Unfortunately, the default is 0 and it will not recognize a negative number - so you can only increase the spacing, not decrease.

You can make card backs bigger in the menu of the client: Options - Table Display Options - Show Large Opponent Cards. Then you should use another line in gx.ini:
[table]
small-card-offset-enlarged=10,4 10,4 10,4 5,2

I looked through thread and found that BarNuthin was gonna re upload what I was thinking of but hasn't. It was identical to Hyper theme but racetrack and different pods. Doesn't matter though I'll survive ;D
