Is it possible to make a Default category deck that shrinks "normally?" At the moment, when you shrink your tables, they become really deformed. Only the rank remains large while everything else becomes so mutated and small that it's not fun to play with it.

I can't believe I actually did that. I just finished reading through every. single. post. I grew tired of the default chips, but don't have the patience or the skills to create my own custom set, so I went through this thread looking for available sets.

Thanks to everyone that has created and posted links to their mods. Some of my favourites are Leviathan's, vanBasten's (even if Fr-nit doesn't like them), Pelorojo's ABS chips, and the Paulson chips.

Thanks to Fozzy for the 5.4 Arial card mod that I have been using. Also, thanks to those that have posted card backs. The one I am using at the moment is the Pokemon Card back that someone posted a while back in this thread.

I haven't tried them yet, but I also have a the set of Nations dealer buttons. I have to convert them to PNG first, but that won't take long. Thanks to whoever made those (was it Bar Nuthin?)

Thanks to G3K0 for the post explaining how to convert the .bmp/.a.bmp files to .png using the command line, which is great for someone with me with a little bit of computer skills, but absolutely no graphic skills.

Thanks to everyone else that contributed to the thread. There were some awesome chips and decks posted (and table themes, but I wasn't really looking for any of those).

There are still a couple of chip sets that I have seen throughout the thread, but as I was late to the party, most of the links are dead. If anyone has the following chip sets, would you mind posting them (if they are free, I wouldn't ask to redistribute commercial ones):
- Canadian Flag centered chips
- Bellagio WSOP

Lastly, I do have a batch file to convert the .bmp/.a.bmp chips to .png format, so if anyone would like their chips to be converted, I would be glad to convert the chips for you if you send me a link to download them.

Hello, is there anywhere or could someone make (I can send some bucks) a tablemod of pokerstars classic theme where table itself would be allmost at the smallest size when you resize window (I can send a screenshot of the size) but there would be much more background space for HUD.

That is the wrong size of chip for the table. The chip would be quite a bit smaller if it were sized properly (size 6 chip in size 4 folder).

All I have to do now is resize the chip for each of the folders. And create the other chips, as that is the only one that is "done".

Rudely bumping my question. I love the "Default" decks, but if I want to multitable at all in Stars, they become untenable because of the way they shrink. Any way to fix that?

You have folders 0~6 in the decks section. Depending on your table size the client will use the graphics in a respective folder 0 to 6 ascending in size.

You could analyse the graphics in each folder and make sure the size in each is right for you. It sounds like you have some larger elements in the smaller folders.

Have a play around and post back what you find.

IMHO, PokerStars default deck that imitates real card deck isn't suitable for multitabling online at all.
Why don't you just use full-face deck like this? That is much better for eyes.


You may increase spacing for hole cards in PLO or use Quasar deck with bigger indexes:

I didn't install or copy that full image somewhere, I manually cropped the pokemon card and covered one of the existing card backs in the PokerStars client. You could really use any image you wanted by simply replacing one card back in the various images.

The files I can find that I modified are (all in the gx/chips&deck/deck folder):
default/back.png
default/medback.png
default/smback.png
preview/deck_preview_back.png

Basically the rank doesn't get any smaller when the tables get smaller, and the deck just becomes so repulsive that I immediately find myself changing it. While my tables when I'm actually playing aren't completely minimized, the default decks look very awkward even in a semi-small table.

The main reason why I want to use a default deck is just variety. I have been using various waffle/large decks for 7 digit number of hands. I haven't played with a default deck since Cereus I last played in Cereus in 2010.
