Create a folder C:\Program Files\PokerStars\XThemes\guillamezur\Classic 2\

inside the folder C:\Program Files\PokerStars\XThemes\ create the file xthemes.ini

open the file xthemes.ini and create the following text...

[Classic 2@guillamezur]
name=Classic 2
copyright=(c) guillamezur 2008
folder=guillamezur\Classic 2
base=default@pokerstars.com
deck=default

close and save

copy the files...
C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Gx\fg.bmp
C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Gx\fg.a.bmp

and paste them in C:\Program Files\PokerStars\XThemes\guillamezur\Classic 2\

restart pokerstars

Im using my own bg.jpg and fg.bmp with pokerstars black theme
but I cant highlight [POT $0.10] with BOX like default theme
How can I make it?? only way to make it is to draw the box in bg.jpg??

Looks to me like it is drawn as part of the fg.bmp, in the black theme. This is way dif than any other themes method.

The fg.a.bmp has to be edited also. It is an alpha layer mask, that controls transparency. You can edit the mask, by using the mskmgr.exe in the PokerStars Theme Integration Guide.

I have never used mskgr to edit a mask. I do all my work in photoshop format, and save as PNG (with transparent canvas/background). I then use a png2bmp converter (in the guide) to create the bmp and mask for the theme.

I've been trying to get the DC table mod's for Poker Stars but as i'm a computer ****** i've failed pretty hard. I managed to get the FTP mods done but stars seems like 10x more difficult.

Any help would be welcomed.

Never tried using those, or following DD's directions. I did link him, and offer to show him how to compile an AHK installer for them, but haven't heard back yet. It would copy/paste all the files into the new folders, and create the INI file. It would make the install hassle free.

You can scroll back thru this thread, and find the AHK installer I posted, of all 16 of everlongs themes, to try an AHK isntaller.

The basics of doing it manually are:

Create a new folder, if you dont already have this folder:

C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Xthemes

In that folder, create a new text document, xthemes.ini, and paste in the proper theme code.

Copy the theme files into place, similar to this:

C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Xthemes\Fozzy@TiltBuster.com\Tolm et

Restart Stars.


The AHK installer, does all of that automatically, in much the same way as my self-extracting EXE installers.

Did you make the bubble 'status' labels that are found in several of your themes? What program did you use?

Every image in all my themes are made from scratch. Tolmet was my first time using Adobe Illustrator to make the 2d shapes. I then took the shapes into photohsop, and used the built in Blending Options > Bevel Emboss (and other things) to create the 3d look. My Chantico theme was done using Illustrator again, but this time I extruded my 2d vector shapes, into 3d vector models. I then took those shapes into photoshop, to blend/style further.

Here is a pic of a table I made in Illustrator, and the final look after photoshopped and put into the theme.

Is there any card mod for the Default PokerStars cards? I tried to make one myself using these cards, but i failed pretty hard. Because it's so difficult to change that default deck, right?

I have only ever seen one modified standard deck, and unfortunately he never posted them for download. That deck is a nightmare to modify in stars, even more so than creating that style deck for ftp.

Why is that deck so different than the 'simplified' deck?

Would it be possible to modify the simplified deck and just change the backround to white to creat a deck like the one posted above?

The Simple deck contains 7 folders of different sized images. You basically make one card face, that every individual text lays over.



The Default Deck has 52 unique faces, of the suits and royals. Somewhat similar to the FTP-Vista deck. My FTP - Vista deck had 100's of layers. The default deck also has the 7 separate sizes, which overlay the 52 face base image.

Is this possible? And will the deck look like this then?

I never copy/paste anyones work. My stuff is always from scratch in Photoshop or Illustrator, etc. This takes a lot of time.
