You're more than welcome - it's great to see the idea developing!

Why not lose the white border down the lefthand side of the card backs? We're not particularly worried what they look like - the important thing is to see who is in the hand with us, and what their stats are. The colour could even be almost the same as the panel or background - it's the outline border colour that's important to indicate a live hand.
If you could make them taller and narrower is there a chance to get all eight in a line?
Multiple hud lines aren't an issue nowadays, we just need to reduce how many stats on each line to fit the area available.

Are you planning to create a 9 man version?

Here are some of my ideas to improve the mod. (they may be good or they may be bad, but I hope they help you out.)

1. Remember that this mod is most likely going to appeal to mass multi tablers, so I would keep all the visual stuff simple and focus on creating a mod that is pleasant to the eye but still simple. Use colors that allow the user to get the information they need fast and easily.
2. Make the dealer button a simple red button, with or without a "D"
3. Move all the buttons on the top to a row right above the chatbox. (dont know if this is possible, but it would increase hud space)
4. Go with simple bright cards (I prefer the original phatty liver cards)
5. Eliminate wasted space between the players by connecting the shadded areas above the player pods. (I would just create a background with a very subtle difference in color for each player.) this would maximize space.
6. create a way to tell who the action is on. Something simple and bright. (preferably not flashing because alot of people find that annoying.)
7. the chips look great (did you design them?)
8. you could lower the player pods slightly if you wanted to.
9. make the dealer button location centered right under the player pod ( unless this is where the current bet is displayed)
10. make the note ring just a simple box around the player pod.

Not trying to be critical just trying to be helpfull.
I really think that this layout will become popular with alot of grinders.

I haven't coded any layouts other than the 6-max but the FR should look like this. Will reduce my spamming of pics ITT and open a new thread at Pokermods.eu to keep this thread a little cleaner - will post back on this when it's time for some testers to get their fingers sticky

some of the / most of the graphic elements in the screens are rough hashes, I've jumped the gun a whole heap by posting pics of the very first rough draft - something I've made based on a previous theme's settings and images but with a few changes to test the notion of HUD seat-pods and a flat FPS layout.

I plan to make run with two central cores to the installer, minimal and a slightly more intricate version.
Dealer button is from a project on national dealer buttons I shelved due to lack of interest, but it was one of the buttons that 'popped' the most when I looked at my archives. Will pack a few options with the mod

Definitely possible, vvolf's screens for digit deck is a good example. I have something like a golf or similar in mind

I've recently been looking at google images of the uno deck was thinking of making a version. Unsure ATM whether this would be available separately or bundled with the theme

So much +1, unsure if Stars makes this possible AFAIK they are beta testing a permanent halo around the player-on-action but it is yet to roll-out to the mainstream client?

Yes, ty. I have two simplistic 'monochrome' chipsets as yet to make it to the pokermods.eu site - one with colour bands for the various limits (nano, micro, SS etc etc) and a second I plan on making an installer where the end-user choses the chip for each denomination during the installation process.

the player bet chipstacks are rendered over the dealer button and hide it, so I have placed them between the dealer button and the player pod for my initial trial, I'll get feedback from testers on the best version before roll-out.

definitely, the current ring is just the one from my Icarus theme - haven't gotten as far as developing one for this theme

loving all the dev going on. I'm def +1 for the use of a constant highlight rather than flash. I'm one of those guys that just use the same non-highlight image to get away from it. Mass tabling gets diff with that flashy crap.

is there a way to edit the gx.ini that makes sure that the screen name + stack don't disappear for so long upon a playing taking an action? like 1 second instead of 3?

if not, is it possible to make just the stack disappear and not the screen name via ini edits?

TN compatibility is tested with normal fonts, there's an option on the installer to choose the fonts you want.
About holdem manager, aren't all themes compatible with it?

It is the name that blinks, never the stack AFAIK.
you can have the name stay there and shift the action U/D/L/R so you see all three.

I don't know, I've seen that some themes on pokermods are tagged with "Hm ready" (eg Icarus theme) and other not.

That just means I made the theme HUD friendly - spaced the seats out as much as possible to give room for a HUD table above / below or to the side of the seats

I cant manage to make first post layout work anymore. Is there any fix to this?
