I just started working on a new one the other day, which is a conversion of my FTP Tolmet Table Pack. It will have a images and no images theme included, when finished. Here is a very rough, very much Work In Progress, preview.

I just think it makes my layout look cluttered with all the different avatars. Mine is the

psthemes one that Barnuthin uses even though I don't have them turned on while I'm playing... :-)

I agree. I always played on Doyles Room (no avatars), and then played no avatar view when at FTP. And that is how I played at Stars, until recently. I hope the avatars will help me to remember some of the regular tags, that all look alike when looking at their 18/16/2 stats..

3 - Paste the modified Chips folder into: C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Gx\chips&deck\, and overwrite the default chips.
4 - Restart Stars - and I think you probably need the updates disabled, iirc.

With any luck I will have my own original stars chips soon.

I have a question about the decks. If you have installed f.e. 54GrayArialSTD and after that you installed the 54YellowArialSTD, but now you want back to the old 54YellowArialSTD deck do you have to reinstall again?

Thanks in advance

Just install w/e deck you want, over top of the existing deck. The stars lobby needs to be open, when installing decks, unless you are bypassing the auto-updates from stars.

So, open stars, run installer, and open a cash table. If you were already using modified cards, the newly installed ones should appear. If the default cards are showing (white), then you need to go to the table options > choose theme > deck > simplified, to activate the modified simple deck you installed.

I replied to your PM incorrectly, as I didnt realize you were referring to stars decks.

I've gotten several request for an oldie, the HR clone

here's a fresh separate installer. please note though that this theme was made prior to understanding alpha layers, so you will not be able to swap backgrounds, or rather you will but then the table will disappear

Thanks for the AHK installer.

I noticed in the script you can install multiple themes, but what if they use different base themes? Or you wanted them to use different default decks?

Also, I have a BetPot Patch and a No Signature Patch for my new Tolmet Tables, that I include as a separate installer normally, to be run after the theme is installed. Not sure how/if I could edit the script to install the patches, w/o writing to the INI file again. I can obviously just include the extra images, so the end user can copy/paste the contents of the patch manually.

My normal Self-Extracting Archive Installers are a bit prettier while installing, but I obviously get the occasional "Why is it an EXE?" question. I hate to have to tell them it's because 90%of the people buying them are relatively PC illiterate.

I am going to PM you a direct download link for this RAR package. I would love it if you could check it out, and let me know if you think this would be the best way to package it up, as an open-source package.

This is what I did for now, to try and learn your installer script.

Sorry Fozzy I just got home from a mini vacation. I will (during the coming week) make a version with support for different basethemes/decks etc.

Thx. Did you get my PM and download the Tolmet Package I created w/ your script?

I really like the script installer. It's not as flashy as my Self-Extracting Archive Installers, but it is faster, and open source is obviously nice for the customers that are extra cautious.

I will likely still package them both ways, at least for the time being. Packaging up an open source installer only takes a couple of extra minutes for me. I should add a ReadMe.TXT file to the open-source package as well.

I finally made a set of chips for Stars. I will be posting them soon, once I have tested them a bit more. They didn't turn out as perfect as I had hoped, but they look pretty good, IMO.

Here are the freebie chips I made (they will be included in my card mod packs in the future). They work the same way as a card mod - they will be over-written every time stars auto-updates at start-up. This means, you need to launch stars, then run the chip installer. If you by-pass the stars auto-updates, you will only need to install it once, every time you manually update the stars client.

Chipsv1-Stars-Fozzy.exe
Self-Extracting Archive file - 381KB

For those of you that don't know how to by-pass the auto-update, this is how you would do it, and still maintain the ability to easily manually update occasionally:

Quote:
The shortcut you are using (on your DTop I assume) points to - "C:\Program Files\PokerStars\PokerStarsUpdate.exe" . This makes the stars client overwrite the simplified deck. If you make a new shortcut, pointing to - "C:\Program Files\PokerStars\PokerStars.exe" this will keep the client from updating every time you launch. You will then want to run your old shortcut, perhaps once a month, to get any critical updates.

Ok, i really need some help on this one.

I basically took the Everlong PP mod folder, and copied that folder into a new folder with some themes I put together.

I replaced the fg.bmp and bg.jpeg images with some new ones. Then I edited the XTheme.ini file to match my new theme and the new folder it was placed in.

But when I try to change to that theme in PS, the table crashes. And it wont show preview in the theme selector, i just get a picture of the theme i have previously clicked on in the theme selecting box :s

I think the problem is how you named the folder for your XTheme.

Name your main XThemes folder where you are loading your various themes properly:

XThemes\Mixed@twoplustwo.com\alt and XThemes\Mixed@twoplustwo.com\qwer - respectively.

Then modify your INI file accordingly.

At the bottom of this Themes Information page on our site, is a link to the PokerStars Themes Integration Guide, which explains everything in detail regarding XThemes.

Thank you

turned out that the bg and fg image was off by a few pixels in the hight and width

Works fine now.

Having spades being yellow... has that always been a sort of "alternate norm" or that just recently for stylistic reasons?

Because it looks pretty good.

That has always been the alternate norm. I think once people began using black tables, the gray spades blended in too much for some (me also). I assume that the original PhattyLiver decks were the first to use yellow spades, but it is definitely before I began creating mods.
