This is another one that i am working on, my gf's sister is in some web/ graphic design course, so she said she will help me come up with some wild stuff. A few of things I seen her do with the PS program just with code wise has been sick. 40 more designs on the way.

@Chicago RED Nice work again! Are you going to release them somewhere?

@Veteran ps skin authors, im wondering about decks and win vista. As i understood it you have to skip the update prosess othervise the new decks get overwritten but with vista i cant seem to run pokerstars directly from the exe. Any ideas?

I don't have Vista, but I am quite certain you can skip the update, just like I can on XP. It's 2 separate EXE's.

C:\Program Files\PokerStars\PokerStars.exe - Doesn't update, and I use this daily.

C:\Program Files\PokerStars\PokerStarsUpdate.exe - This updates, overwrites the decks, chips, etc - pretty much everything except the XThemes.

I use this every few weeks, or so.

You can run the pokerstarsupdate.exe, and then install the custom deck to the Simplified folder, and it will display fine. Most people that use my decks keep em on their desktop, and run it as soon as they open Stars (update) each day - my deck installs in just a few seconds. I open/close Stars soo often, that I prefer not installing a deck each time.

Hope that makes sense.

Hm ok thanks, got confused as i had no trouble with xp and fairly new with vista. Looks like something had gone messed up in my installation, running PokerStars.exe gave me an error. Works now.

Yep that works too.

I prefer it on the table (BMP), so I can change to any background image (JPG) (using the Stars "Enable Custom Background"), and still have that box there regardless of the background I pick from my Background Library.

is there a way to delete the table on pokerstars and just have it be clear or like a see-thru oval of some sort? thanks/

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone actually got the original theme in this thread to work with betpot without using the hideous brown slider?

I basically just want what I have now (see below) minus the avatars so I can find more space for stats...

Thanks for any help in advance.

Here is a free deck, in yellow and gray spade versions. These are oversized cards, for easier reading on small tables. There is a link to a Self-Extracting Archive Installer and a link to a standard RAR archive. The RAR would have to be installed/extracted manually.

5.4 Arial XX by Fozzy

Gray Spade version:

5.4-Gray-Arial-XX.EXE

5.4-Gray-Arial-XX.RAR

Yellow Spade Version:

5.4-Yellow-Arial-XX.EXE

5.4-Yellow-Arial-XX.RAR

Nice to see you're still making mods fozzy.

Any chance we can get your latest deck slightly modified so that the cards aren't overlapping each other on the board or is this due to them being a bit oversized?

I can upload those versions tomorrow or the next day.

Or right now.

FWIW - I never stopped making mods, just stopped making them for free.

Gray Spade, Standard size (non-overlapping)

5.4-Gray-Arial-STD.EXE

5.4-Gray-Arial-STD.RAR

Yellow Spade, Standard size (non-overlapping)

5.4-Yellow-Arial-STD.EXE

5.4-Yellow-Arial-STD.RAR

Solid, thanks.

Yeah, it's been a while since I visited the software forum. I remember you making mods a pretty long time ago.

Fozzy,

To use these cards do we do the install each time after we start up Stars or is it permanent?
Pokerstars Theme (free) [main Poker Stars mods thread] Quote

Just manually run 'PokerStars.exe' instead of the standard shortcut (which points to the Stars updater) and it won't overwrite the mods.

Most stars updates aren't important. If an important one comes then it'll force you to update. In which case you can just backup the "$stars_folder\Gx\chips&deck\deck\simple\" directory, let stars update, and then put it back.

It is mostly an annoyance, as far as the card mod goes. The updates typically break AHK scripts.

The shortcut you are using (on your DTop I assume) points to - "C:\Program Files\PokerStars\PokerStarsUpdate.exe" . This makes the stars client overwrite the simplified deck. If you make a new shortcut, pointing to - "C:\Program Files\PokerStars\PokerStars.exe" this will keep the client from updating every time you launch. You will then want to run your old shortcut, perhaps once a month, to get any critical updates.

first time install then is with pokerstars already running? After that i think i got it. thanks
Pokerstars Theme (free) [main Poker Stars mods thread] Quote

Yep - if Pokerstars checks for updates, you have to install the deck after loading Stars. If not, you should be good if you previously installed it. If you install it, and it doesnt show up in the deck menu - change to an Alternative deck, and apply, then back to Simplified.
