Re: Pokerstars Theme (free]

hey Fozzy,

I bought the 5.4 yellow deck and it's great. One thing I'd recommend is blacking out the cardsuit file. In your screengrabs I noticed it is blacked out but it wasnt in the file I downloaded. The card ranks overlap with the font on certain cards (K and Q) and are obv unnecessary w/ the card background. I had no problem fixing it myself, but others might not know how.

Thanks again, awesome deck.

Re: Pokerstars Theme (free]

I apologize. I threw that deck together in a hurry, and missed it. I will fix it and update the file at PSThemes. If you need me to email you a new version after I fix it, just let me know.

I am still a bit green at putting these decks together, and building the installer. It is a bit more complicated than the FT versions. i will obviously make sure to get you an updated version.

I will prolly fix it in the next couple hours.

*Edit - It is fixed. I sent you a PM also. PM me your PSThemes screen name, and I will send you a free copy of the fixed version, LDO.

I will also send you another of my stars decks for free, for pointing out my error in my card pack.

Sent fixed deck, and free 10.8 Yellow Advertiser deck.

Re: Pokerstars Theme (free]

OK guys, I've done some work on my set up and here is what it looks like:

Again, I am actually a total mod donk. The stuff I did was really easy and could definitely be done better by people who know what they're doing.

Here is a list of the things I changed:

-table felt is a darker grey
-PokerStars logo removed from the table
-player avatars darkened from light grey to shiny black
-flashing thing that shows you whose turn it is (eloquent, I know) made red instead of blue
-player note marker made brightish orange instead of blue

The cards are Fozzy's 5.4 yellow deck.

I can post these things if anyone wants them.

Re: Pokerstars Theme (free]

I will list what you should title the image and where you should save it ABOVE the picture

Save as fg in C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Themes\ordinary

Save as bg in C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Themes\ordinary

Save as border in C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Themes\ordinary\label

Save as note in C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Themes\ordinary\label

Save as statusb in C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Themes\ordinary\label

Save as tt in C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Themes\ordinary\label

You're gonna have to buy the deck from Fozzy here:

http://psthemes.com/forum/index.php?action=store

If you pay for them via transfer on Stars they're only $4, which is more than worth it, imo.

OK, I hope everyone enjoys this mod. I will probably keep trying to improve it, but I think it's pretty good as is.

It "should" as long as he didnt mod the slider parts, i believe. Mine in the above screen seems to work fine with BP.

I don't know. I promise you would play better without it though. . .

Re: Pokerstars Theme (free]

For me personally and the students I have coached, I have found we do better when we are forced to think about our bets and bet sizing. Programs that predetermine bet sizes for you (again in my experience) tend to lead to "auto-piloting" and mediocre play.

This is obv my opinion, but I would bet that most people play better w/o a pot script.

BetPot doesn't do my thinking for me. It just makes the physical act of making the bet less troublesome, which is easier on my wrist and allows me to play more efficiently. I imagine it's the same for most.
