hope that helps.. yesterday was my 1st night on ps so, probally not.

my problem is.. everytime i make a note on someone they get a red dot on their icon instead of the color i assign... blue, green, yellow etc.. how can i change that or is that just the way it is ??
Does anyone know how changing the color of a tag will effect the exisiting color coded notes? Will anytime you have used that slot in the past be changed to the new note color?

Yes, it will change all prior notes. In the notes.xml file, each of the colors are represented by a number starting at the top is "0" then "1" and so on thru "7". So, if you change the last one to a different color, all players who are in the notes file with a "7" will get the new color.

Re: Pokerstars Theme (free) [main Poker Stars mods thread]

To the graphic wizards in this thread:

I was experimenting last night with some of Everlong's themes. I love the no images aspect of his pitch black theme for example, but I would prefer a lighter colored table.

I figured out that I could just replace the 'fg' file in the theme folder with a fg file from some other theme. This worked when I pasted stars' marine table into the pitch black folder. It also worked with the renaissance, saloon and some others.

However, when I tried the 'stars' theme table and the 'black' theme table, poker stars would just use the classic theme table instead!

Why won't those tables work the way all the others do?

Hmmmm. Can I assume that you had the Stars client shut down when you made these changes?

I just replaced Everlong's stock fg.bmp with the Stars Theme fg.bmp (green felt / light blue table rim) successfully in-play. There are a zillion tables in this thread and elsewhere, it just takes a bit of time to work your way through and find one that works for you. When you do find one to your liking, it should not involve more than backing up what you have and replacing the file. Xperts correct me if I'm wrong.

I've tried that, but the 'fill' function in Paint doesn't change the color of the table as it's not all one solid color. I don't know how to do it otherwise.

It doesn't matter whether I have PS open or closed. The Marine table works as do several others, but the Stars Theme table and the Black Theme table do not work - Stars just uses its Classic table instead.

That doesn't fix the problem I'm having - even if I change the Classic table to totally different colors using this technique and put it as the fg file in the pitch black folder, PS still uses the regular classic table!

However, super cool tip - you can make the tables look badass! Now I just have to figure out how to use them.

hmmm are you saving them as 24bit .bmp? are you reopening stars under the update.exe thus replacing your files with default? have you reshaped the tables in anyway and not created the proper mask file to go with it?

'after formatting'
You mean you formatted your hard drive and reinstalled windows? If so, you lost everything that was on it previously. You can dl the theme you want (along w/ 6 others) here: http://www.megaupload.com/se/?d=3RJ9IK5Q

Once dl'ed just unzip (with winrar for example), then put the 'XThemes' folder into your Pokerstars directory, in the same place where you have the regular 'themes' folder (will be something like program files/pokerstars).

That's it, then you should see them in the PS client.
