I have an issue with the time warning sound on PokerStars. If you're not sure which sound I am referring to go to Settings > Global > Sounds and then click the music icon next to 'Time warning' to hear it.

I used to play on Windows, w/ Jivaro. Now I play on Mac OS w/ Poker Co-Pilot.

Upon playing on Mac (& multitabling), I realised that I wasn't getting any notice of when I was taking time to act on another table, which I am normally met with the 'Time Warning' sound. So I went into settings as above ^ and Reset all sounds to default, made sure they are all ticked, Reset to default volume etc. etc.

Still nothing. Now after emailing PStars themselves (they couldn't help). I played around with settings etc. to see what I could do to get it working.

Soon I realised that the sound does work! but ONLY when I have the table selected before it is about to make the time warning noise! But if I have to keep selecting the table before the noise will sound then well.. that's pointless. Obviously.

So then I changed another setting. This time Settings > Gameplay > Multi-Tabling > 'Pop-up table whenever user action is required'. I ticked this and tried to see what difference it would make. So I load up a table. Once I am dealt a hand, I click away (as if I was clicking buttons on another table, as you would during a session) and it popped up the table as soon as it was my turn to act. Then as I didn't act 'Timebank: X seconds' pops up and the time warning sound plays! Yay!

Well, no. Soon I realised that it only worked because the pop-up table setting brings that table into focus. If it pops up and I click another table between it popping up and 'Timebank: X seconds' appearing (which is when the sound plays) then once again it doesn't work.

In short, the 'TIME WARNING' sound will not play unless I have the table selected! Obviously, it is impossible to select every table at once when playing more than 1 table.

Does anyone have any advice? How to fix? Has it happened to you? I searched here, and Google, and there's nothing. It's incredibly frustrating and is causing me to time out loads whilst playing

I've done all the usual stuff, reinstalled PStars, reset everything to do with the sound settings. To clarify, the sound works, but only when the table that is making the noise is selected. Sorry for the wall of text, but it's a pretty specific issue.

My guess is that this is a bug in the PokerStars software itself and that they will need to fix it.

I've run into the same problem on BetOnline (also Mac client), and reported it. The issue has supposedly been escalated to their technical team, and I'm currently waiting for a response. Good luck.
