Oh,,, don't backup or restore data on phone,it can gave a lot of trouble to my life and work, but ,why don't you backup iPhone data on computer, at same time,it can manage then on computer ,never worry about the iPhone data loss,

I am currently having the same exact problem quoted above after updating to iOS 10.2.1.

Is there any updated suggestions on how to fix this? Because I can't get into the software, I don't know if retrieving a backup is possible. I do have a PJ backupedmup on my iCloud.

Are you using IOS 11 yet?
I'm afraid poker Journal may finally DIE with the update so I'm backing up in anticipation of finding a new app.

It seems almost ALL apps come out and then soon after drop most updates and additions... not sure why but I've looked at the top several tracker apps and only ONE of them has been updated in the last year.

Poker Analytics 4 looks sweet...but $30 a year is NOT what I like.
BUT.. it is the ONLY app that has been updated recently.

RunGood sounds like a good choice and sounds like will import my years of data easily! Can't wait to see how that looks.

Poker Income Pro looks OK and is the cheapest at $9.99.

Any thoughts from experience by anyone on these current options???

I made the carnal mistake of updating to iOS 11 without first ensuring my PJ backup was correct and in order.

I did have a recent PJ backup on file, but it was in HTML format and not CSV format. Not knowing the difference, I assumed HTML was fine to import into RunGood, which I purchased after PJ officially died in the conversion to iOS11.

I have since spent countless hours trying to convert my HTML PJ backup to a CSV file (which I think I did). However, the CSV does not import into RunGood, which I recently purchased to replace PJ. I emailed the creator of RunGood and attached my CSV file asking for help but no response.

I am not technologically gifted, so if anyone can offer assistance I would be most appreciative, as I have 6+ years of tons of sessions now sitting in the ether. I have PJ backups in the forms of HTML, SQLITE, & CSV yet I cannot import into RunGood.

Yes, Run Good works perfectly with IOS 11.

After Poker Journal stopped working for me, I ran free trials of the leading poker session apps. No question about it, I liked Run Good the best. It is real good, and the price is great too.

Have you guys who recommend RunGood actually used Poker Journal? RunGood doesn’t have any of the basic customization tools and it can’t even run custom reports/filters.

As buggy as PJ was, I would snap choose it over RunGood.

Poker Journal stopped working for me on iOS 11. I found a CSV file back up, even though I will lose 1 month of data. I decided to switch to Poker Income Pro and I already purchased it. Now I am facing trouble importing the CSV data. Has anyone done it recently? It says to copy and paste the back up email, but I can only copy/paste the CSV file and this doesn't work.

You can create so many different filters with it. Ex. Week to Day, Month to Date, what ever you want for any game and any place you play. Plus it shows just about every stat that you would want to see for each filter that you create.

Play around and familiar win RunGood.

I tried them all and I like Run Good the best, by far.

My mistake, there is a filter function in RunGood, just not very intuitive.

I don't quite understand the point of clicking on the filter button and then have to turn on filter before it shows up.

Few other little things that are not very intuitive either, such as ability to auto-populate venues with preset defaults.

I'll revise my review to neutral. IMO at $17.99, it should be a lot more intuitive and user friendly.

yes I've found that most poker apps only develop and support for first year or so then people move on. I'm guessing the only long-term supported apps in future are those you subscribe and pay monthly/yearly.

Hope to be proven wrong by future updates... but we will see.

Yep if you look at the most popular apps you'll see that only Poker Analytics and Poker track have regular updates.

I made the mistake of updating my iOS to 11. And now not only would Poker Journal not run, but many of the other apps that I used to use won’t run either.

Poker Journal would run just fine up until iOS 10+. It was by far the best possible app. I have about 5 years of data. Cash, tourneys, data with respect to stakes, locations, filters with specific date ranges, you name it. Then of course there are the trip/series.

Is there any way to get back to iOS 10? My phone is pretty much useless without PJ. iOS 11 sucks!
