I added

G = Bet/Raise

T = Bet/Raise All-In

Now my Hotkey Settings is complete.

I hope I don't hit "T" by accident.......

I used to use the Razer Nostromo to play FPS games online so I'm quite familiar with it. It looks like a very nice set up. Nice going. I'm gonna think about getting one again. Thanks for your help.

Thanks. I am just emulating and following in the footsteps of what the Gamepad pioneers here have established.

If you end up getting a Razer Nostromo, be sure to post your settings.

In the meantime, I will follow your current keyboard settings.

Out of curiosity, by using standard keyboard keys, I like your 'F' for Fold and 'C' for Call BTW, do they interfere with other tasks or applications? Or once the Stars is in the foreground, it does not matter?

Here is my complete settings;

W = Bet/Raise 50% Pot
E = Bet/Raise 75% Pot
R = Bet/Raise 105% Pot
F = Fold
X = Check
C = Call
G = Bet/Raise
V = Bet/Raise 3X Big Blinds
B = Bet/Raise 9X Big Blinds
N = Bet/Raise 12X Big Blinds
H = Bet/Raise 15X Big Blinds
T = Bet/Raise All-In

Under "Send Hotkeys to:"

Click on the "Table Under Mouse" and "Bring to Foreground"

Click on the "Highlight Target Table" I use a bright green color.

Under "Select Color..." , I would pick a bright color so that you would know when the table is selected for Hotkey action.

I can play 4 tables of Zoom Poker and I can put in +1000 hands in one hour with this set up. I would say that with using the Hotkeys, my efficiency is up 25-35%(may be more...) from just using the mouse and keyboard without Hotkeys.

I also have "Adjust bet size with Big Blinds" turned on under "Bet Slider Options..." to use the mouse scroll wheel to change the bet size. I use that feature in combination with the Hotkey "G" to bet the desired amount.

When I play, my index finger rests on "F" and my pinkie rests in the crevice between "A" and "CapsLock" and my thumb rests on the space bar. After making sure that my left palm/hand is in the correct place, I know where all the essential Hotkeys are without looking at the keyboard.

The Hotkeys "B" "N" "H" are used for Squeezing and 3betting preflop.

I mainly use the Hotkeys "F" "V" "C" "X" most often.

I'm thinking about changing to "D = Check" because "X = Check" is fine but it's a little hard to press sometimes and I do use "Check" a lot during play. I do get "Check" and "Call" mixed up more often than any other Hotkeys but fortunately the mistakes are never that bad since pressing "Call" when you wanna "Check" or pressing "Call" when you wanna "Check" doesn't do anything.

I might change the Hotkeys to;

F = Fold
D = Check
S = Call

Or

F = Fold
D = Check

I might try that set up and if I do, I'll let you know how it is. My concern is that it might become too easy to make a mistake with it.

Thats how the foundation keys on the gamepad is setup.

D F & C == same (Check, Fold & Call) as it would be on a QWERTY (ASDF) keyboard.

I have the %Pot on the botton, while the xBB is on the top. I may start looking into > 5X. You can 3bet with %Pot also.

Have you tried sending keys to Active Window? I guess if you play Zoom, no need to have active windows pop up here and there. I just use 'Active Windows' so I can avoid the mouse.

I use Green also.

Not using Fold & Watch hotkey for Zoom?

Yes, "G" Fires, but did you know you can use the arrow keys instead of the mouse scroll wheel? Just make sure 'Highlight bet amount' is checked.

I just found this out and had to reprogram the gamepad.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...index1057.html

Yes, there is a learning curve with the hotkeys. Need to consciously train till it is unconsciously set in stone.

I just created the only macro I use so I can auto-register the same cash/sng. I just click the button, and it Ctrl-S(Cmd-S), then selects OK && OK. It runs OK, but I can open up unlimited tables with just a push of the button and no mouse interaction.

Can you think of any other macros that may be fun to try? I am pretty brain dead right now after getting the gamepad fully utilized.

I just added "Y = Fold and Watch" but I hardly ever use it.

I wish they had "Check Sit Out Next Big Blinds Box" in Hotkey menu.

This has nothing to do with Hotkeys but I use Tilbuster.Com's "3DYellowSpadesGel" card mods made by Mr. Quicksilver. They don't sell it anymore but it is just awesome.

Other than that, I'm just loving my Hotkeys set up. I can play 4 tables of Zoom Poker and put in +1000 hands in one hour so I just keep my session to one hour at a time now. I didn't even have to buy TableNinja which is just great.

Yeah, the Hotkeys are pretty nice and will only get better. It will be interesting to see all the functionality once it leaves Beta. Maybe you will get your wish at that time.

The new Table Theme coming up looks pretty awesome too. Yellow spades sounds like a good idea, but does not look likely. I would of probably purchased that theme from tiltbuster if PS was not implementing soon.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...ostcount=15904

Where hotkeys excels over TN is native support. PS will not release an upgrade without ensuring the hotkeys are well-tested. No need to worry about patching after this or that upgrade.

Glad you are more efficient. I know how the feel.

I know we have the native software support in using the Hotkey commands from Poker Stars Client but I'm finding out that Hotkeys fails sometimes. Once in a great while, some of my bet/raise Hotkeys doesn't work at all. I keep pressing it and nothing happens. I hope this gets fixed when they come out of the Beta phase testing.

Just for the record, I've played around 25k hands using the Hotkeys so far....

Function keys are tough to reach over and press for me. Is there any reason why you pick those keys?

I can't see you being able to press keys fluidly like I can with my set up.....

Heh I'm completely different to you keyboard/nostromo users. Been using this setup for >5 years prob couldn't change if I tried now.

All on mouse (MX Revolution), never touch keyboard except to rarely chat, always send to table under mouse no focus required, only the All-In auto-execute these days, most others adjusted a tad before click "bet/raise"

thumb1: check/fold
thumb2: no action
thumbwheel up: +1 SB
thumbwheel down: -1 SB
wheelup: +1 BB
wheeldown: -1 BB
middleclick: All-In (used to be 3.5bb+1 / 80% / 66% / 50% before hypers)
right+left: no action (used to be 12bb / 66% / 50% / 40%? before hypers)
wheelclick: All-In

I think the only time I had problems with the Hotkeys was when I first started testing and used the "Table under Mouse" feature instead of my current. I believe I accidently clicked or hovered over the enable/disable hotkey button. I was not even aware I had done this until I started troubleshooting. Since after not using "Table under Mouse", I had zero issues with the hotkeys. Also, since your using a keyboard, not sure how it may interfere when another app or OS needs focus on the 'standard' keys.

Thanks man. I made one big mistake using Hotkeys so far.

This happened when I added "E = BetRaise 62.5% Pot" and I shifted "Y = Fold and Watch" to "U" in order to put the new AI macro "Y = Bet/Raise All-In". I made the error right after I made the change.

I wanted to flat the open with AJs but when I saw SB squeeze, I just wanted to use the "Fold and Watch" macro but I forgot that "Y" is now the AI macro and I pressed "Y" by accident and I went All In.

I didn't know what happened because I looked away to the other tables and when I came back to this one, the dude was contemplating a call on my 4bet/shove!!!!! I was thinking "But I folded this hand!!!! WTF?".

Poker Stars, $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

BTN: $100 (100 bb)
SB: $120.11 (120.1 bb)
Hero (BB): $262.90 (262.9 bb)
UTG: $75.86 (75.9 bb)
MP: $158.55 (158.6 bb)
CO: $69.33 (69.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J A
UTG raises to $3, MP folds, CO calls $3, BTN folds, SB raises to $13.50, Hero raises to $262.90 and is all-in, 2 folds, SB calls $106.61 and is all-in

Flop: ($246.22) 5 4 A (2 players, 2 are all-in)
Turn: ($246.22) 2 (2 players, 2 are all-in)
River: ($246.22) 6 (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Results: $246.22 pot ($2.80 rake)
Final Board: 5 4 A 2 6
SB showed K K and lost (-$120.11 net)
Hero showed J A and won $243.42 ($123.31 net)

I had to quit the session so I could figure out what happened because I thought my Hotkey misfired.

I have been seriously lucky with my mistakes so far using Hotkeys.

I pressed these keys below by accident 6 times so far, when I meant to fold.

W = Bet/Raise 50% Pot
E = BetRaise 62.5% Pot
R = Bet/Raise 75% Pot

And, I won all of them because each villain in the hands folded every single time thus far. I'm learning the power of raise by mistakes and accidents ironically......

I would be constantly misclicking if I had that many action buttons spread all over the keyboard tbh. How about setting up in- and decrease bet amount hotkeys and using them together with "x% pot" alone? I only have 55% and 100% and go from there, which works perfectly fine for me. No need for most "xBB" and tons of different "x%" buttons imo.

Mine are (mix of StarsHotkeys, PS Hotkeys, and some selfmade ahk):

F1-F4/^F1-^F4 = table movements
F5-F8 = register buttons
F9, F10 = session time counter start/stop/reset

s, x = in-/decrease bet amt (by like 10% or so)
left, down, right = main action buttons
up = set amt to 2.0599-3BB depending on blind level
^up/+up = set amt to 100%/55%
^right = shove

PgUp, PgDwn = cycle through tables
Num0 = activate urgent table

...and in case any ahk loop gets interrupted:

^Num0 = (re)activate topmost table
^F5 = (re)activate lobby

All keys are sent to active table. That's all you need at least for playing tourneys imo, but I guess that'd be fine for cash as well.

I really like that one on top but this feature is not yet available on Stars client native Hotkeys.

I'm really used to my set up now and I don't see myself making any mistakes ever again, lol, probably never say never but I'm comfortable with it.

I only play cash games so I don't actually need all those macros for tournament. Thanks for the information and help though.

StarsHotkeys is free

My main point was, those in-/decrease hotkeys would save you most of the x% and xbb buttons, making your hotkey setup much clearer and more user friendly. But as long as you feel comfortable the way you have it, nvm.

Nice bonus feature fwiw: it handles all those goddamn popups - unfortunately tho not the most annoying one, the news popup on (re)connect.

When I first started playing at Stars a few months ago, I used to search and search checking out the software's features trying to find out how I can turn those off but never found it so that sounds good.
