I've received several requests for detailed instructions on how to create skin packages. Here are some step-by-step instructions:
1. Download the RAR package that contains the elements you want. This assumes you are using the graphics from the thread
"More card and background graphics". You need a program than can handle RAR files. I use the free
7-Zip File Manager myself.
2. Create a new folder somewhere on your computer, for example C:\SkinPackage. Extract your desired graphical elements into this folder. Rename any files that need renaming (for example "Game-Table BLUE.bmp" to "Game-Table.bmp").
3. Open Notepad and copy the following contents into it:
Code:
<SkinPackage>
<Description>
Type any description here.
</Description>
</SkinPackage>
4. Save the Notepad contents into the C:\SkinPackage folder with the name Skin_package.xml.
5. Create a new ZIP file and add the contents of the C:\SkinPackage folder into it. If you use 7-Zip, click the Add button and choose ZIP as Archive format. If you use another program, make sure to select a setting that does NOT store folder names into the ZIP file.
6. Open Ongame Skin Launcher and select the ZIP file you created in the Skin package field. Click the Launch button to test the package. If there are errors, correct them and try again.
Any comments on how to improve these instructions are welcome!
