When you convert your old cards, will they look better than your old cards running through abstractls's universal card converter? Or did FTP just change the format for fun?

They can't be 'converted'. They have to be recreated from scratch. The software used to create the new files is completely different, and many of the effects I created in Photoshop will likely be impossible for me to reproduce in Illustrator. At this point, I honestly don't know how things will progress with my FTP decks. My first concern is to convert the themes, and then start working on SVG decks. Then I will have an idea of how things will be progressing.

SYFTED'S "MASTER" DECK, V1.0

In this zip is my FREE deck for the new Full Tilt Poker client!

This version (1.0) includes a new deck for standard-size tables... the "lores" cards have not been modified yet...

Installation:
Drag and drop the "Cards" folder to your "Common" folder, usually
C:\Program Files\Full Tilt Poker\Graphics\NewTable\Common
and overwrite your current folder.

I suggest you back up your files before replacing them.

PLEASE jump into a play money game with the deck before using it in a real money game. I'm not responsible if any of the cards are ****ed up and you lose a pot because of it. Use at your own risk! =)

Switch to 2 color cards. That should do the trick.

After mucking with the Layout.xml file, i have some observations and suggestions:

As a warning for people who used to play with preferences.ini, in Layout.xml the Mac stuff comes first and then the Windows. I spent some time trying to figure out why my changes weren't taking affect before i realized this.

FYI, the main improvement that i made was to make the minimum size of "tbl.chip.amounts" to be 12 pt. Tahoma bold. I also prevented a player's name from getting smaller than 11 pt.

I find Omaha/Stud difficult to play with any of the cards with non-white backgrounds, since i often have the tables as small as possible. Nazo's deck has the best corners i've seen, but it's still a little hard.

Update: While writing this, i just saw Syfted's deck which looks great for Omaha on first glance. This may rendered the rest of this post moot.

In Layout.xml, i improved this for Omaha by doing changing the horizontal spacing to the following, which show the left half of each card (providing an addition clue as to its rank):

If i increase it to larger than 24 (for Classic View), the left corner of one card for the leftmost player gets cutoff a bit for the smallest table size. I didn't try it with this with Racetrack, but it's something for people to consider.

For Stud, there's not enough room for spacing the cards much more than they are now. Fortunately, I don't play Stud as often. Also, with the exception of your two hole cards, you have the benefit of seeing the full card before it gets covered.

I changed Holdem to be "49;49" so that even before the showdown the cards are side-by-side.

Someone could make these decks more Omaha friendly by left-shifting the rank. Obviously, it would look goofy to have non-centered ranks, but i think that multi-table Omaha players would prefer this. I would, at least.

Keep in mind that the layout/mods that I posted that I use are two seperate mods: the one the outphasen made for the layout/table (basically everything BUT the cards) and the cards themselves are, I believe Mr Quicksilvers that I bought a long time ago from tiltbuster.com. So the cards that you see in my screenshot are not the ones w/ the mod outphasen made. Just a fyi.

In Lobby, click on Cashier>Single Click Preferences..., uncheck the box.

Unfortunately most of the fancy looking card designs seem pretty bad for colorblind people (red/green). I love the progress that is being made though, will just play the default untill I find something that looks useable for me.

I believe it has to do with 4-color deck being checked or not checked in FT's options. Take a look at that and see if that remedies the problem!

If I ever find some time to make a deck, it will have an enhanced vision version. I have a few color-blind customers that are at the tops of my list to get something for. All of my recent decks have/had this option.

here is my set up so far. cant give away the cards cuz i bought them off fozzy. but I'm using the temporary fix Universal Cards found in another thread. Allows you to use old cards before the update.

ONE CAVEAT!!! This cards mod may not work if you do between 5-6 tables on one screen this is all resolution dependant, it works for 1-4 and 7+. Sorry just the nature of how it is, I can't help it. Hey I need some help from an expert. I made this deck of cards.
When I put the files in the right folders, and open FullTilt, the cards doesn't show the text which is on them.

Do I have to use standard windows fonts? I have used some fonts I have downloaded for free, which I think looks better. Also, I noticed when I open a card that someone else here made, that there numbers aren't text and cant be altered. Mine can, is that what is causing the problem?

Some ppl are missing the point of the separate threads. There should be a commercial mods thread as well. And anyone can post in this thread, just no links to commercial mods. There's no nittery about it - the software forum separates out commerical software from open software, but the mods thread got so huge it was impossible to change it (Fozzy will tell you that this was suggested quite a while ago, but it was just too big of an effort).

It's actually a good thing for the commercial modders, it gives them a thread in which they can be as spammy as they want to be, without wondering if they are allowed or not.

Compare to BetPot or FTS, say: the developers don't put links anywhere but their official thread, but it doesn't stop customers from talking about the product anywhere it is appropriate.
