I want to mod the "Get Chips" dialog box that pops up when opening a new table to throw a black bar over my bankroll amount so that I can't see it. Has anyone does this before, or does anyone know which graphic file I need to mod? I can't seem to find it.
I'm certainly not as knowledgeable with mods as many posters in this thread, maybe someone will say I'm wrong.
That being said, I'd be surprised if there was a graphic or XML file you could mod to create this behavior. The "Get Chips" window appears to be backgroundless, just created with text/group/radio button/textbox widgets, slapping the OK/Cancel button at the bottom. I briefly looked through the FTP Graphics files out of curiosity, and nothing jumped out to me as a possibility.
You might have a shot at doing this in the actual cashier window, however. I know this isn't what you're looking for, but I'll mention it since I thought of it. Graphics\Cashier\Reskinned\Cashier.jpg sure looks like it is being used to draw the background of the cashier window. Making the background near the available and in play account balances black, and red for the total account balance might do the trick. (For red, it would have to be the exact same color red.) And, for this to work, it assumes they're just writing text with no background (being transparent). Black transparent text on black background = not readable. Same with red. Granted, here, if you didn't want to see your bankroll, you just might never click on cashier... But this would still allow you to see FTP, bonus account, and use the withdrawal/deposit/etc buttons.
One other thought that I had is you could go to Options->Set Buy In Preference. You can set the default buy-in for ring games to 100bb, and activate auto-rebuy for 100bb, with auto top-up. This way, assuming your bankroll allowed it, you'd never start a hand with less than 100bb, or whatever value you put in. The initial buyin window when you first sit at a table still would show your bankroll amount, but you could get good at not looking and just hitting enter. Or, you could use TableNinja-FT to automatically buy you in so you wouldn't see this initial buyin window.
Short of these suggestions, I'm pretty sure the only way to do this would be to build a third party app looking for the get chips window and overlaying a black rectangle upon it, which with my limited understanding of the FTP poker client would NOT be an easy task for most programmers.
