Microgaming software problem. Microgaming software problem.

If anyone can figure this problem out, then I would be very grateful. Please see this thread for full details, from the Bleeping Computer forum, where my son tried to get some help. Well, he did get some gracious assistance, but no solution was forthcoming unfortunately.

I would just add, for the sake of complete clarity, that we now don't think this is a flash problem. It looks likely that something else is the culprit. I should also mention that this issue stops the Microgaming cashier from loading as well. This isn't that annoying though, as wallet transfers can invariably be done via poker company websites.

One other thing, I have just noticed that the Poker Stars Casino and Vegas lobbies are also seemingly affected by this same issue. When these lobbies are clicked on, then nothing loads up and it's just all white space again. As with Microgaming, the actual playing of poker again isn't affected though. Thus, I am not really bothered, as the only time I ever visit internet casinos is to use free credit and free spins etc..

I doubt anyone will be able to help, as this does seem to be a real conundrum for sure, but this has now definitely been isolated as a flash problem. Well, when it comes to the Microgaming issue at least. Thank you.

For the record, there is a £20/E25/$25 bounty, depending on recipient's location, to anyone who can figure it out.

I remember I had the same problem once. Since Microgaming is based on Internet Explorer, I remember that I got it fixed by reinstalling Internet Explorer, the ActiveX version of Flash player and the Microgaming poker client. I am 99% sure that this help you!

Hi there and thank you for trying to help. If you read the Bleeping Computer forum thread I linked to earlier in this thread, then you will see that I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling all versions of flash and all of the affected Microgaming poker clients, but to no avail. I am running Windows XP, so it is not possible to uninstall and reinstall Internet Explorer though. It can only be partially disabled and re-enabled, which I have already tried; nothing more.

This really is a weird one, as I usually do get to the bottom of such technical issues, one way or the other. If you or anyone else can think of something new, then do please let me know. The bounty offer stands until 31st December 2016, then it will expire. Thank you.

Try uninstalling IE using the following steps:
1) Carefully select and then copy the following command: %windir%\ie8\spuninst\spuninst.exe
2) Click Start, and then click Run.
3) In the Open box, type Cmd.exe, and then press ENTER.
4) Right-click inside the Cmd.exe window, and then click Paste to paste the command that you copied in step 1.
5) Press ENTER to uninstall Internet Explorer 8.
6) When the uninstall program is finished, restart your computer.

If this does not work, then you will have to uninstall the Service Pack 3 so that they are visible in the Add/Remove Programs for uninstallation. Then uninstall IE8, reinstall SP3 and after that reinstall IE8.

Also, if the uninstallation of IE is successful, reinstall your Microgaming poker client and the ActiveX version of Flash before you reinstall IE.

I hope this will help you.

We have had a bit of a misunderstanding unfortunately. When you said I should uninstall Internet Explorer, then I thought you meant totally and utterly remove it from my computer; not simply roll it back to a previous version. I can report that I did already try rolling back Internet Explorer 8 to Internet Explorer 7, then uninstalling and reinstalling all versions of flash and all of the affected Microgaming poker clients, before re-updating Internet Explorer 7 back to Internet Explorer 8 and then reinstalling everything else again. However, this didn't help in resolving the issue either. I think that this is looking like one of those things that I am just not going to get to the bottom of.
