Sorry if I sound like an ass, but this compilation uses my cards and table without me being asked or mentioned, and the table has been modified to erase a small, hardly visible plug in the top right corner that said grinders.org. I have worked many many hours to have complete mods of multiple networks and my mods are free for download but also I have a disclaimer that says "...this mod is designed by me, exclusively for Grinders.org, so please mention the source if you post it elsewhere".

Again, I don't mean to be rude, I realize you didn't intend to do anything bad

He is lying too - those cards have never been posted in this thread, how pathetic. He registered and downloaded it at the site he is hating, he must have read what was written there if he was intending to spread it on the net "own work" was erasing something you should not erase and then post, and also making two squares in Paint - a yellow one and a green one. Impressive.

There might be other people posting compilations of other people's work and stuff like that, that happens and it is sometimes useful, but when the original maker of a mod or software or whatever notices and doesn't want it posted there are two things that can be done - pay some respect or make yourself look like a fool. Had you not edited the table I probably would not make a problem out of it.

Is it possible to get rid of "Join similar" button (or make it transparent)?

You can delete this file to get rid of the offending image:

C:\Poker\[Your Poker Site]\data\table\topview\buttons\join_similar_table_ico n.png

Or if you're using an AHK script then this line ought to do it:

FileDelete, C:\Poker\[Your Poker Site]\data\table\topview\buttons\join_similar_table_ico n.png

Why can't I open / view the .png files in the iPoker folders?

They're just regular .png files, right? Is there any program that will let me open / view them? Even photoshop is telling me it can't parse them properly. This modding would be a lot easier if I could actually SEE what files are what before deleting/replacing them.

What I really don't understand is that all the modded files ARE .png files too, but I can open those just fine...what makes the iPoker proprietary ones unviewable?

Every time I try to run the modder (via the AHK), I get this error message:


It's only an annoyance, though, because if I just close that error window and double click the exact same AHK file again, it opens the iPoker client perfectly fine, and then I just have to click F1 to initiate the mods.

But it's still an annoyance. And moreover it's confusing because what's the "common" file that it's referring to?? There's a common.dll file in the C:/Poker/iPoker_skin/data/ directory, but as far as I can tell, the modding commands have nothing to do with that file, so why does the error message imply that it's missing?

At the end of the day, this just means 3 extra mouse clicks, but it's still annoying...

Nope, original PNG images in the iPoker folders are encrypted and that is why you can't open them in any graphical tool. Software called ipSkinner is able to decrypt/encrypt iPoker PNGs but I think it was abandoned and today it’s hard to find it. I don’t have it.

Fortunately, iPoker client works with regular PNG files so you don’t have to encrypted modded images.

It looks like there is something wrong with modding procedure for iPoker. Correct procedure is:

1. Start unmodded iPoker client
2. Apply the mod
3. Next time, BEFORE starting the client, unmod the client (restore it to original state)

iPoker client at the beginning checks integrity of the files and reports misleading errors when you start already modded client.

And yes, modding iPoker is such PITA. I gave up.

It's not all that big a PITA...this method works pretty well and it's just an extra couple clicks to get by that error screen.

That being said, I have no idea why i'm getting that error message...and moreover no idea why simply clicking the iPoker AHK starter a 2nd time solves it. If it was a modding problem on the first go-round, no reason it would work perfectly well the second right?
Lastly, I read through this thread, and even as far back as 2 yrs ago, ppl were complaining of the same thing: .bat files producing error in first try, fine on 2nd...so who knows > maybe just have to deal.

i get that error everyday ( williamhill ) and i dont use mods

I've put a fair bit of time into solving this and just gave up in the end. I just live with it now. It's either that or live with the delightful ipoker graphics
