Last night the client updated (I think for the new table loading bar) but it overrode all my mods except 2 images, any idea of how to get my mods back up and working?

update:

I've looked through all the table and chip files etc in the gc folder and all my mods are there in their right place. I also tried replacing them in different name slots and restarting the client etc, and somehow I still get the original default bovada/bodog skins for everything.
I can't even find the image files of them anywhere in resources so I have no idea where the client is pulling these images from. Can it be getting them from an online destination instead of the client files on my computer?

I had blisfully forgotten how ugly the original bodog skins were :/

I haven't logged into Bovada yet but I'm terrified that I won't be able to use my table mods anymore. Someone mentioned in another Bovada thread that the client changed the way tables load. Crossing my fingers that we can find a work around.

I'm at work and can't test anything. But, my partner was able to get Viper working after a fresh reinstall of Bovada. So, mods should still all work. You might just want to uninstall/reinstall with a fresh download of the poker client.

What version of the client is the latest? Mine is showing 4.25 and mods still work. I don't see this new table-loading bar others are mentioning even though I removed mods and let it update to check.

Try this:
Remove mods
reopen client and let update run
Log in
Close client
Reapply mods
Reopen client
Profit?

If you don't have an easy way to remove your mods, just delete the entire Bovada folder, reinstall the client, then reapply your mods.

The newest is 4.27.1 (they skipped .26 completely so you have the 2nd most recent)

I did a fresh re install and will update here soon if I get my mods working again. fyi Im using the pstars clone 1 pack from Tedd_e

Pretty sure the update is Bodog only for now, Bovada's should roll out soon.

I emailed them saying 4.27.1 lags a lot and asking them to change it back...hopefully ppl do the same

I did the fresh reinstall to get all the brand new original bodog files back and then reran the stars1bodog to place all my mod files back in and ran it.

same thing as before though, I can see table previews in settings but no matter what I select it shows the original skins that the client is getting online on open (I assume). None of the cards or chips or button skins are working either (except for the card back previews in settings again).

The only other mod I can get to work is the login casino image that I use to white out my bankroll in the top left. I have no idea why that and previews work but nothing else.

I hope the great modders in this thread can find a solution! Thanks for the effort guys

Ugh... I'm bummed. I really hope Bovada doesn't disable this altogether.

This is my current setup:

Client looks a bit different, problem is that it's very laggy.

They also updated the tables so if you shrink them too small (using a program like SaT) you can't read the font.

The lobby used to shrink when I moved it to a monitor with higher resolution. It doesn't anymore. Also, the default table size is bigger.

They've always done little things like this to frustrate multitablers. Like that awesome feature where if you leave a tournament table mid-hand and come back, it looks like everyone at the table has cards. That's intentional.

I completely removed the client and ran a fresh install. It looks like several of the files we use for these mods are no longer there. Chips for example. I know the modding technique still works since some of my lobby mods are there. I'll play with it a little more to see if I can find the files since the client is too laggy right now to be usable.

On a process monitor app I use, I am seeing image files accessed ~62 times just to load it, followed by a few Buffer Overflows. So this thing is VERY buggy right now.

Its strage the table images are still there even with a fresh install but changing them does nothing.
I don't believe table mods will be possible with this update.
It is weird the images still come with the update though.
Sloppy programing

I think the images are there as an easy way for the settings page to grab them and allow you to choose. My table and card mods still show in the setting drop downs but do not load on the actual table.

Given what I see when comparing the old version file structure to the new, it seems that anything the lobby needs is loaded from your local drive. Everything else is coming from a webserver then stored locally in a format I haven;t cracked yet. Similar to a flash game you may play in a browser. I base this on the lobby still being able to be modded, anything you can select in the lobby still has local images, and the new files such as "https_www.bovada.lv_0.localstorage".

For example:
-The chips files are gone in the new version. No place to select those so no need to store them locally and present to the user as a choice.
-Same as above for card outlines, dividers, table logos, etc,
-Lobby tiles need to load faster than over the web so they use the local files and those react to a mod.
-The way the tables load now is indicative of contacting a server and caching. i.e. First one is slow then subsequent loads are faster.

I have been looking through some of the cache files and I don't see off hand a way to really modify these with any reliability. So it looks like right now the main part of our modding is gone.

There are bigger problems in this update than the inability to mod though.
