Re: Boss Media Mod / modding

So here is the trick. The Boss image files are coded so cant be opened/modified BUT the client can use normal not coded files too.
I post below my mods so anybody can figure out how it can be done and can make tables for the eg. omaha...etc tables.......

Anyway one so called warning, I tested the correct card ranks only 1 time so please anybody who use it give some feedback here if they are correct.
I am 99.99% sure they are correct but who knows.

Another thing , I used/tested these only on Celeb so anybody who use another client please give some feedback here if it works properly on another clients.

So here they are : BOSS MODS
They dealer buttons are not perfect but bahhhh
Choose whic ones you want and put them in the Client's "data" folder.
From my experiences with ongame etc. modding I am sure 2 request would come up. Waffle cards and sepiatic tables. So I included these.

I just gave it a try (Paradise Poker) - upon firing up the client starting 'downloading updates' clearly showing that it's updating exactly and only files I've changed and when it fanally loaded everything is back to as it used to be - i.e. there's a built in protection that's checking integrity of the original files and not allowing any change

I tried it on Paradise and yes this is the case.
BUT this is only a "minor" problem because when you put in the files after the verification then the mods worked perfectly.

So you need a batch or an AHK to solve this.
A similar AHK that is used for Ongame should work perfectly.
Till then you should copy after the verification or use a batch file.

Yes, I was just about to say I remembered of an old trick for screwing integrity checkers (same trick is used for modding poker Stars) - overwrite images after starting the client (lobby only - NO TABLES), since checking is almost always performed at the very start. And it worked.

Interesting observation: after restarting (even after restarting Windows), changes were accepted and no further 'updates' were downloaded - successful implantation.

THANK YOU Mr. SzS! I'VE BEEN WAITING THIS FOR SO LONG! BRILLIANT!

SzS,

I downloaded your bit from rapidshare with the cards and tables, and I eneded up with a .rar file. How do I open thie so I can see what's inside and choose what I want to add to the client?

Thanks
